A Hidden Gem with Exceptional Service
To be honest, it takes a lot to impress me enough to spend time writing a review. Bad Alberts is gratefully a little-known secret where the bar service and the love behind each of the meals prepared should have a Michelin rating. One unique facet of this establishment is that you can actually sit and enjoy a conversation without having to yell in someone's ear (unless they have a special venue happening or the Seahawks just scored a touchdown!). Come on in and meet the owner Corey, the bar manager Nathan, and the awesome cooks Don and Carlos; you will feel the love and passion.

Bad Albert's: An Incredible Ballard Experience!
I absolutely love Bad Albert’s! It’s a great spot at the south end of Ballard Ave. The experience is consistently wonderful, offering great food, great service, and a super relaxed atmosphere, making you feel welcome every time. Corey, the General Manager, is dedicated to great service, drawing on years of hospitality experience, while Juan, the Chef, creates food on a whole new level. My wife and I frequently visit with our kids for brunch on weekends, and our only challenge is choosing from the menu because everything is so dang good. The Ballard Ave Cheesesteak with a side of Aujus is a total home run. Last week, I had the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast with two fried eggs, which was the best meal I’d had in a very long time. I returned today to try it again, which is unusual for me as I often get disappointed on a second visit, but today, it was somehow even better than the first time. If you haven’t been to Bad Albert’s, do yourself a favor and head in for some amazing food, great service, and a 100% Ballard experience. P. S. They also have great Bloody Mary’s!

Old School Bar Worth a Visit
My experience at this old school bar was definitely worth a visit. The staff and regulars were very nice. The food was excellent, receiving a perfect score. The service was also highly rated, and the atmosphere was enjoyable, though it had moderate noise.

Welcoming Staff, Great Service & Atmosphere
As visitors from out of town, we found the owner and staff to be very welcoming. The service was great, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We will definitely come back here on our next trip to Seattle.

Saved the Night with Fantastic Food and Service!
BEST EVENING EVER! It may have started bad then worse before this place SAVED the night. After being rejected at one pub, I told my partner I found another place. We looked at the menu and my partner excitedly said 'They have fish and chips! ' After we sat down, the bartender greeted us with menus to look at while he went to attend the other customers. He came back after 5 minutes to take our orders and within 15 minutes our orders arrived hot and fresh. Best special burger I've had! No Best mac and cheese EVER! The bartender returned asking how is everything? 'FANTASTIC' This bartender checked on EVERYONE not just us. It wasn't too busy just a few customers. Great service for a bartender alone on a slow Tuesday night.

Great Karaoke Night Atmosphere!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic for a karaoke night! We've been a few times, and the atmosphere never disappoints. I'd recommend going on a Friday or Saturday night for the best experience.

Great Food, Service, and Trivia Nights!
I always have a good time at Bad Albert’s! The service is great, and I enjoy myself every visit. Tuesdays are my favorite, with trivia night, good drinks, and food – a winning combination! My top menu picks are the wonton tacos and the Dock Street Burger combo. Everything is tasty with good portions.

Disappointing Fish Tacos and Service
My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing, particularly concerning the food and service. I ordered the fish tacos, which were a letdown. The tortillas were overcooked, and while I enjoy spicy food, the fish itself was unexpectedly and intensely spicy, not the slaw as described. To add to the culinary issues, the tacos were topped with what tasted like tartar sauce, which wasn't what I expected. I also observed the cook wiping his nose with his shirt and not changing gloves in the open kitchen, which raised hygiene concerns. Service was also subpar. The staff seemed more engaged with the 'local bar fly homies' than with other customers. My first drink, a margarita, was honestly the worst I've ever had. While I did enjoy the Shipwreck IPA and appreciated the nice selection of local beers on tap and a decent bottle list, these positives were overshadowed by the overall experience. I had to go to the bar to cash out because the servers were too engrossed with regulars, leaving me feeling unwelcome and unappreciated. While I don't expect a red carpet, I do expect better service, especially as someone who also works in the service industry.

Excellent Food and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was good, and the breakfast was even better. The owner is local and clearly knows how to run a business. The cooks are great and get the food out promptly.
