Delicious Sushi, Great Vegetarian Spot!
My experience at this restaurant was really delicious. As a non-vegetarian, it truly expanded my definition of sushi. It's a great spot, and I highly recommend it, especially for vegetarians as the menu is all vegetarian. The atmosphere and service were both rated a 5 out of 5, with moderate noise levels.

Incredibly Delicious Vegan Food!
We ordered online for takeaway and it was incredibly delicious. It was ready for pickup quickly and well-packaged. We discovered this purely vegan restaurant on HappyCow and are thrilled. The nice employees were also very friendly and helpful.

Excellent Food and Service
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. I highly recommend starting with the mushroom soup with udon, which is great for sharing. The edamame is also a good appetizer to share. For drinks, if you enjoy sake, ask the eldest lady for a recommendation based on your preferences. Their house water is perfectly fine. The meal for two came out to about $90, and I definitely recommend leaving a good tip. The portions are quite filling, and the ingredients are of high quality, leading to well-prepared offerings. It's also a nice place to chat, with a generally civilized clientele. They've been a staple for 20 years.

Delicious Vegetarian Food, Sweet Service
My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly positive. The menu is all vegetarian, which is fantastic. I found the atmosphere to be cozy, and the service was super fast; my order arrived within minutes of placing it. The restaurant is run by old Japanese folks, and the servers, who are super sweet old Japanese ladies, made the experience even better. I truly loved the service. The food is delicious too, with so much variety and flavor. The only minor drawback is that it’s a little on the pricy side.

Vegetarian Haven with Spot-On Experience
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! As vegetarians, we found it to be a true haven. Everything was spot on, from the great food to the very clean atmosphere, which reminded me of Japan (Japanese like 😉). The service was excellent, and we had no wait time. It's a highly recommended spot for vegetarians.

Small Portions, Average Taste
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing regarding the portion size and overall value. The food, while cooked in a familiar way, lacked any special taste or ingredients. I felt the portion size was too small, especially for the price. I would have expected at least twice the amount for the sushi and 50% more for the hotpot to justify the cost. The food quality was average, and the price felt high for what was served.

Great Sushi and Friendly Service
My experience at this restaurant was a strong 4 out of 5. I primarily tried the sushi, and the Cha-ya roll and eggplant roll were particularly good. They were perfectly soft and crunchy with excellent seasoning. The vegetable roll was just okay, mostly containing raw vegetables. The gyoza was also really good. The restaurant itself is super neat, and the staff is very friendly.

Tranquil Vegan Japanese Haven
My experience at Cha-Ya, a vegan Japanese eatery in San Francisco's Mission District, was a sanctuary of serenity and sustenance. Upon entering, I was greeted by a humble elegance, reminiscent of a Zen monk’s abode, with subtle aromas of miso and sesame filling the air. I began my repast with a sushi ensemble, featuring golden daikon and verdant vegetables, each morsel a testament to the chef’s devotion to purity and balance. The accompanying sunomono salad offered a refreshing and unexpected dance of flavors. A warm bowl of miso soup and a chilled Sapporo provided a comforting and crisp counterpoint. Though my appetite was sated, the menu's offerings, like the signature Cha-Ya Roll with tempura-fried vegetables and soy-ginger glaze, and the comforting Kinoko Udon, whispered temptations. Cha-Ya stands as a beacon for authenticity without compromise, where compassion and culinary excellence converge. As I departed, the lingering flavors and the establishment’s quiet dignity left an indelible impression; it's a haven where one can find peace and purity amidst city life.
