El Burrito Express - Reviews

I understand, but sometimes restaurants put out orders after mine. I really don’t understand how the order after mine, and a large order of that, gets his order before mine. I ordered a simple quesadilla, a simple breakfast quesadilla, and a simple baby burrito, which would’ve taken a fraction of the time for fulfillment.

I used to live around the corner, and those wet burritos were basically all I ate in grad school. I'm so happy this place still exists. The horchata was always so good, too.

I have been coming to this restaurant and ordering from them for a while now. Every time I get my order, it's amazing. Over time, I've tried many items on the menu. My favorites are the tortas, which are always packed and full of flavor. For burritos, 'el Ohana' is truly one of a kind and delicious. It features pineapple, carnitas, mango salsa, and other favorites, making it a burrito definitely worth trying. The two taco meal is also really good. I'm usually skeptical of hardshell tacos, but these are so good and simple in their toppings. I particularly enjoy the chorizo and ground beef options. Overall, it's good Mexican food.

I haven’t eaten here in a while, and unfortunately, the food has gone way downhill. I had a carnitas super burrito, which was one of the most tasteless burritos I’ve eaten. It was edible but really bland and nothing special compared to others I’ve tried. Perhaps it was an off day?

I would never recommend this place to anyone due to a white-haired woman who was incredibly rude and disrespectful to everyone visiting the restaurant. Please be aware of this place; it is not healthy.

My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The food was decent, but the service aspect was concerning. They required my phone number for a pickup order, and since then, that number has been bombarded with scam calls and messages. It seems their payment processing system may be selling customer information. I strongly advise against giving them your real phone number.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I highly recommend their burritos, especially the El Branco with carne asada or carnitas. The food was so good and served fast. It's an easy walk-in, order, and run kind of place. While there are a couple of window stools, it's definitely not an eat-in spot.

I made a quick stop for a Togo order and was pleasantly surprised. The signature express sauce was heavy and tasted just like something I would make at home. It truly feels like food cooked from a friend, offering a familiar and filling experience.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely negative. The burritos were bland, and to make matters worse, both my partner and I suffered from food poisoning after eating here. I absolutely do not recommend this place; you would be better off going literally anywhere else.

Update May 2025 -- Its Fixed, the flavor is back! Over 29 years getting burritos, tacos, fajita plates, etc. , at El Boritto Express. Something just changed in the last 1-2 months; there’s not as much good flavor. Did someone who makes the food leave? This was the best in San Francisco. Please fix this.
