Favorite Lunch Spot on the Water
This has turned into one of our favorite lunch spots, especially on a sunny day. It's so beautiful and on the water. The food is delicious. We love the vegetable and assorted dips appetizer, the octopus, and the chicken plate. These are just a few of our favorites, but you really can't go wrong!

Ignored and Annoyed Wait Staff
My experience at this restaurant was marked by a significant wait to be served, nearly 10 minutes, during which no staff member acknowledged our presence. This led to us leaving without being served. The wait staff also appeared to be annoyed by our presence.

Perfect Sharing Plates & Must-Try Baklava
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! We ordered a bunch of plates to share between two people, and it was the perfect amount. You truly can't go wrong with any combination of their dishes. I definitely recommend that you don't miss the chocolate baklava!

Great Happy Hour, Beautiful Spot
We visited Alora for a last-minute "happy hour" before a wedding. The spot looks fancy, and the bar is beautiful. We sat at the bar and ordered from the happy hour menu. The bartender was really nice, though he did repeatedly mention we had less than 10 minutes to order, which we did quickly. We enjoyed the Hummus HH and Crudo, which were beautifully presented and had tasty flavors. We also had drinks. Although our stay was short, it was fun. We plan to return for a full meal to get the complete experience, but we totally recommend the happy hour menu, especially for the great price.

Toxic Food, Lacks Quality
My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food was toxic and lacked quality. Despite the name suggesting Mediterranean cuisine, the dishes were prepared using local junk ingredients instead of imported ones. The chef's reliance on salt for flavor was overwhelming, leading to noticeable fluid retention and weight gain. I would not recommend this establishment.

Beautiful Decor, Superb Service, Excellent Food
What a fantastic dining experience! The restaurant's decor and style were very beautiful and decorative. The service was superb, and the food was excellent. My only gripe is that the restaurant does not have its own bathroom but directs to a public bathroom outside. Although it was clean enough for a public restroom, you do have to share it with everyone. The beef shishalik and the roasted eggplant were must-try dishes. Parking is easy enough to find; you can park at the pier 3 lot.

Golden Hour Elegance at Alora
Tonight felt like stepping into a perfectly curated chapter of Mediterranean life — right here in San Francisco. 🌅 From the moment I walked into Alora, I felt an immediate sense of calm and refinement: the golden light streaming through the windows, the bay sparkling just beyond, and the warmth of a team that clearly loves what they do. ✨ Highlights of the Evening: 🥇 Eggplant Entrée – a revelation. Silky, smoky, with layers of flavor that unfold slowly — the kind of dish that makes you pause between bites just to savor the craftsmanship. 🥇 Summer Corn Lasagna – impossibly delicate layers that feel almost ethereal, cradled by a corn velouté so smooth it tastes like summer on a plate. The roasted peppers and basil bring brightness, making this dish light yet deeply satisfying. Special gratitude to Chef Aline Bueno 👩🏻‍🍳 for her artistry and vision — this menu carries her signature of precision and heart. And to Angeline, whose thoughtful, graceful service turned dinner into an experience. This is more than a meal — it’s an invitation to slow down, connect, and celebrate life’s finer details. ✨🍷

Delicious Waterfront Dining Experience
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially given its patio on the water! The food was excellent, with the octopus being a standout dish. The dips were also incredibly delicious. We found plenty of seating for a walk-in on a weekday, making it a convenient choice.

Perfect Spot for a Celebration!
I visited this restaurant with my family for a celebration, and it was the perfect spot. The restaurant itself was beautiful, and we had the pleasure of sitting outside, which offered a great view. For our meal, we shared the Alora dips and kale salad, both of which were delicious. I personally enjoyed the Halibut, which was absolutely amazing. The portion sizes were also great. The service we received was both helpful and friendly. I will definitely be returning!

Very Good Meal, Attentive Service
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. I enjoyed a very nice meal with fair value for the dinner quality and venue location. The beet salad with chicken and the halibut dinner were both very good. The service was very attentive and friendly. Although, the wine prices seemed high at $20 per glass. We’d recommend!
