Taqueria Mi Sazon - Reviews

We placed a take order for 15 people 4 hours in advance. They said we could pick up at 12pm, but they canceled our entire order 5-minutes before 12pm. Please don't order from this place.

Having lived in the Bay Area since 2018, primarily in the North Bay, I've often been critical of the Mexican food scene, finding it mediocre. However, this restaurant has truly restored my faith in good Mexican food in San Francisco. While I'm usually a Torta enthusiast, a hangover led me to order a shrimp cocktail and two carne asada tacos. The tacos arrived incredibly quickly with a cute presentation, but beyond their charm, they were delicious with tons of flavor. The salsa served with the chips was also on point. My shrimp cocktail was fresh and delicious, effectively bringing me back to life. A cold Coke in a glass bottle washed it all down, and I even felt a little pep in my step. My only minor complaint is that the pool table can be a bit loud if you're dining in, especially when hungover. But overall, it was a great experience!

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's easily in my top 5 best taquerías in San Francisco. The flavor was outstanding, and I particularly loved the beef super burritos and Quesadillas. The customer service was also great.

I almost didn't want to share this place because I don't want it to get too busy, but I'd be remiss not to. They have a green pozole with chicken that is absolute fire. It usually takes about 10 minutes to make, and my lord, is it flavorful. It has now become my wife and I's go-to spot. I'm typically a ride-or-die red pozole person, but I'm happy to be proven wrong by their green pozole. Go try it. Just not when I want it!

My experience at this restaurant was centered around their tacos and burritos. The food was great, earning a perfect score. The atmosphere was also excellent, rated a 5 out of 5. However, the price was a bit high, which is why I only visit occasionally.

My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. I ordered two burritos, one carne asada and one chorizo. Unfortunately, they were not marked, and when I pointed this out, they unwrapped both and did a terrible job rewrapping them. The chorizo burrito tasted strange, and my super burrito lacked any visible guacamole or avocado. It was so messy that I ended up throwing it away, which felt like a waste of $39. 00. On a positive note, my friend's tacos were good. However, considering the number of burrito joints in the SF Daly City area, there are many places with better food. Additionally, the salsa for our chips was watery and tasteless.

My coworker visited for lunch and ordered two tacos, which cost $10 ($5 each). Despite a 30-minute lunch break and leaving a $3 tip, she waited the entire time only to receive no food. She was told she could pick it up later, but upon returning, it was still not ready. They promised to deliver it to her workplace, but never did. We had to send two people to get her food, and then they tried to claim she hadn't paid. After a total of 2 hours, she finally received her two tacos.

I went with my wife to get lunch. As we entered the place, we noticed the music was so loud; I thought to myself, 'Is this a Latin Disco or a restaurant? ' We ordered burritos. The server wasn't knowledgeable about the drinks, so she allowed me to taste first before ordering, which was nice. The food came quickly and was tasty. A few minutes later, the server checked with us, asking if everything was OK. I told her about the music being so loud, so they lowered it a little bit.

We recently discovered this little gem and have been blown away by the quality of the food! The quesadilla Suiza was perfectly cheesy and meaty, not greasy like most places. The enchiladas are super tasty and come with carrots, little papas, and cotija cheese. Tonight, we went back and ordered the carne asada and chorizo plate, and wow! The homemade chorizo was not greasy at all and flavored to the max. We also got the flan, and it was like abuelita's but better! Can't wait to try the next plate; I know we won't be disappointed.

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, I ordered the lamb barbecue and it was good. I enjoyed the consommé; it's not the style I'm familiar with, but for these cold and rainy days, it was delicious 👍🏽. Something I want to highlight is the super friendly attention. The girl who took my order and the boy who brought the barbecue to the table are great. They treat us like family. They even prepared something for me that wasn't on the menu. Congratulations. I am very grateful and proud of such kind and hardworking people.
