Ridiculously Good Food and Service
My experience at this restaurant was ridiculously good. The service was great, and the environment felt like a nightclub. I particularly enjoyed the Spicy Golden Gate and Jumping Salmon rolls, which were mouthfuls of flavor 😋. I also loved the cocktail I had, which I believe was called Samurai Sunset.

Authentic Izakaya Vibes with Top-Notch Sushi
I've read that Royko's was a hole-in-the-wall Japanese bar with great vibes and sushi. Missing izakaya vibes in Japan, I had to stop by, and I did not regret it. Because Ryoko's was just that. Small, cozy, dark, lively. Great food and drinks. The sushi was top notch. The beers were good. And I had a few other items on the menu like the Shoyu Ramen and Chicken Teriyaki. All pretty good. I loved Ryoko's. The vibe was definitely reminiscent of izakayas in Japan. Good service. I'd say come here for the vibes, the drinks, and the sushi! The sushi was more on the pricey side (around $12 - 15 for 2 nigiris). However, it was so good I couldn't stop ordering for more 😅.

Ryoko's: Underground SF Gem
My experience at Ryoko's was absolutely fantastic! It's a rare San Francisco spot that perfectly captures the city's spirit: a little underground, effortlessly cool, and utterly delicious. The moment you descend the steps into this buzzing, dimly lit sushi bar, you can feel the energy. There was late-night chatter, laughter, a killer playlist, and chefs working at lightning speed behind the counter. The food was utterly delicious, and the atmosphere was buzzing and effortlessly cool. The service was also top-notch, contributing to the overall energetic vibe.

Good Atmosphere, Forgettable Food
I visited Ryokos on a Thursday night with some friends. While the atmosphere was enjoyable overall, it did lose some of its usual vibe without the DJ, so I'll need to come back for that experience. The food was decent but ultimately forgettable.
