Closed Despite Stated Hours
I called earlier and was told the restaurant closes at sundown, which is 8 PM. Later, I walked the mile to the restaurant, arriving just before 7 PM. Although there was a sign taped indicating they close at 8 PM, the shutters were mostly closed.
I could see people inside. After knocking and yelling a few times, I finally got a response that they are closed. I explained it was only 7 PM, but they reiterated that they are closed now.
This was very disappointing and left me unhappy.

Disappointing Experience with Small Portions and High Prices
My experience at this restaurant was very poor. The prices were expensive, and the portions were quite small. Specifically, the calamari “banh mi” was served on an over-toasted mini hot dog bun.
Adding an automatic gratuity for takeout service, especially when you have to pick up your food from the window, is completely ridiculous.

Salty Chowder, Insane Gratuity
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. I ordered the clam chowder, which contained a good amount of fish, a positive aspect. However, the chowder was extremely salty, to the point of being almost inedible.
Despite this, I consumed it because I had already paid $13, which included an automatic gratuity. While I don't mind tipping, I found the automatic gratuity on a to-go order to be unreasonable, especially since the service provided was minimal – just taking the order and handing over the food. Consequently, I will not be returning.

Beautiful View, Delicious Food & Drinks
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The atmosphere was nice, and the food and drinks were good. I particularly enjoyed the lemonade with fries, which was yummy.
The beautiful lake view added to the overall pleasant experience.

Ridiculous Service Charge and Tipping Expectations
My experience was marked by a ridiculous 20% service charge added to an already over-priced item handed over the counter. This is not service; it's a basic business function. To then expect a tip on top of that feels like an excuse to trick customers into paying much more than planned.
I strongly advise against supporting this behavior, as there are better options nearby that genuinely provide service and allow for appropriate reward.

Overpriced Fish and Chips, Rude Service
My experience was disappointing. For $80, we received two orders of fish and chips, one order of hush puppies, and two iced teas. 🤯 An 18% service charge was automatically added to our bill.
Everything was served in paper to-go boxes, and we had to eat at a plastic picnic table. For that price, one could dine at a fancy restaurant with real plates and multiple cocktails. I suggest splitting one order of fish and chips if it's just two people, as the portions are a good size.
The cashier was friendly, but the waitress was rude and snotty. She refused to let us sit at the "nicer" wooden picnic tables, forcing us to sit at the plastic ones near a kids' day camp. We paid an 18% service charge for what service exactly?
I won't be back.

Bland Food, Busy Service
My experience at the restaurant was marked by bland fish and chips. The establishment was very busy, which meant the wait staff could not come around often. We were seated at tables with bar stools.

Great Food, Slow Weekend Service
My experience at the restaurant was largely positive, especially concerning the food. I thoroughly enjoyed the classic Fish and Chips. Beyond that, the Mozzarella based fresh salsa was a delightful surprise, and the Mac and cheese was also awesome.
However, it's important to note that you should expect slow service on the weekends. Despite the service speed, I highly recommend this place.

Delicious Fish and Chips, but Pricey
My experience at this restaurant was a bit of a mixed bag. I was super bummed to discover this hidden spot across the street from our hotel on the last day of our trip. The food was delicious, especially the Fish and chips which was DELICIOUS 🤤.
However, it was overpriced for sure.
