I was surprised to find a 5% surcharge hidden within the tax section of my receipt. I only noticed because my order was $10, making it easy to spot. It seems this has been a longstanding issue at their three locations for about a year, according to other reviews. Initially, I considered giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they might be a small business in over their heads. However, their "About Us" page mentions a co-founder with a finance background and another with a law degree. This surcharge was not disclosed anywhere on their webpage or menu as of April 29, 2025. The owner responded that the surcharge is for employees, which I understood. The core issues remain: (1) the lack of disclosure on the menu or website, which is a legal and common-sense requirement, and (2) the surcharge being rolled into sales tax, which is essentially fraud, especially if those taxes were not remitted to the state and were kept by the establishment, as the owner's response implies.

My experience at the restaurant was very positive, especially with the hot garlic noodz. The sauce was on point, not too spicy, and it came with a generous amount of chicken and toppings. Overall, the food was very tasty! I highly recommend this dish.

My experience at this restaurant was marked by dishonesty regarding their pricing. They incorrectly list menu prices and add a restaurant-set fee called "SF health mandate, " which is presented as a mandatory tax but is not. Additionally, they charge an unavoidable "convenience fee, " which is another tactic to mislead consumers about the true cost. Due to this dishonesty, I am giving them a 1-star rating.

My experience at the restaurant was marked by a very unpleasant atmosphere. Upon entering to pick up my food, I noticed it was insanely warm and there was a terrible smell. While the food itself was rated a 3 and the service a 5, the atmosphere was a significant detractor with a rating of 1.
