Solid Ramen and Sushi, But Music is a Dealbreaker
We like Coco's for our local ramen joint. It offers solid ramen and solid sushi, with some good sushi specials. The Japanese interior is super cute. The service is good and friendly, mostly very fast. However, the pork belly is mostly fat, so I skip that, although I love pork belly. A major con, and this makes me heavily consider whether I go here, is the music. It is atrocious, just godawful. It’s like new rap or something, full of terrible language and grating on the ears. Next time I go, I may check first to see what’s on before I suffer through another meal in that musical hellscape.

Disgusting Chicken Curry - DoorDash Order
My experience with this restaurant via DoorDash was extremely disappointing. The chicken curry was disgusting. The chicken itself was tough, and the curry was soggy and gross. To make matters worse, there was absolutely no spice, making a supermarket curry powder pack seem superior. I strongly advise against ordering from them.

Mediocre Ramen with Fatty Chashu
My experience at Coco's Ramen on a Friday afternoon was unusual as the place was completely empty. The waiter/owner was very nice and polite. We both ordered the Chashu ramen, but unfortunately, the "meat" was mostly fat with very little actual meat. The ramen itself was mediocre, nothing to rave about, but also nothing really to criticize.

Disappointing Ramen Experience
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. While the noodles were good, the pork belly and sliced pork were both overcooked to the point of being inedible. 😕 The broth options were also a letdown; the Tonkatsu and Curry broths were not good 👎👎, though the Shoyu broth was quite enjoyable 👍👍👍. The service was pleasant but inattentive, and the atmosphere was rated low. 😕

Disappointing Japanese Cuisine Experience
My experience at this restaurant was a sad demonstration of culinary skills, and the output didn't resemble Japanese cuisine. I kept my choices simple with Agedashi tofu, grilled squid, and pork katsu don. The meal started with a salad and miso soup. The salad was essentially dry spinach from a plastic bag with an overly sweet industrial dressing – nasty. The miso soup was just alright. The tofu itself was not bad, but served on a bed of coarsely chopped cabbage with even coarser green onions, which seemed to be an ingredient in almost every dish. I suggest trying Katsuobushi with the tofu. The squid was a disaster; its tentacles were overcooked and inedible, while the body was undercooked and chewy. The pork katsu was overfried and dry, and the curry did not do justice to authentic Japanese curry. On a positive note, the Asahi beer lived up to its reputation, as they don't make their own.

Cozy Spot with Amazing Presentation
My experience at this local spot was pretty great! The Japanese decor created a cozy atmosphere, though the seating was slightly uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which was appreciated as I was waiting for my date. I was impressed by the amazing presentation of food and the wider selection of drinks than expected. The food was decent, and I'm eager to try their namesake ramen on a future visit. Overall, it's a decent spot with a good atmosphere and service.

Great Ramen, Minor Adjustments Needed
My experience at the restaurant was largely positive, centered around a great ramen. However, I found the portion of bamboo shoots to be a bit excessive and would prefer it without pickled ginger in the broth. The service and food were rated a perfect 5, and the atmosphere also received a 5, described as quiet and easy to talk in. The wait time was minimal, up to 10 minutes, and the price per person was between $10–20.

Delicious Ramen with a Health Concern
My first time eating at this restaurant was on 4/23/2025. I ordered the Vegetarian Ramen, which cost $20. 66 plus tip. The ramen noodles were delicious. However, the only issue I encountered was experiencing a headache after I went home, which led me to believe the restaurant uses MSG. I also researched if ramen noodles are healthy, and Google stated they are 'Low in Nutrients' and provide 'minimal nutritional value. ' I wish this restaurant would consider using a noodle with more nutritional value.

Disappointing Ramen Experience
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The food had a very homemade ramen feel, tasting like it was loaded with MSG. It reminded me of instant noodles from the grocery store, and the whole dish seemed like it was reheated from the microwave. Considering the quality, it didn't feel worth it.

Hidden Service Fee Scam
My experience was absolutely unacceptable. We were charged a 20% service fee for a party of five, which included 3 adults and 3 children (ages 9, 3, and 8 months). The children did not eat anything, yet they were included in the service fee calculation. This is ridiculous. Furthermore, there was no notice posted anywhere about this automatic charge. If a tip is expected, it should be earned through good service, not by sneaking in hidden fees and calling it a "service charge. " This felt like a scam, not hospitality. We don't mind tipping for great service, but this experience was nothing short of robbery. I will never be coming back.
