Delicious Carne Asada Torta Surprise!
I ordered the Carne Asade Torta tonight while I was doing laundry on 20th st. It was delicious! 😋 I’m picky about meat and often disappointed when I try new restaurants. This was a pleasant surprise: good quality well seasoned meat, good bread, and fresh avocado and toppings. It was hearty and satisfying. I can’t wait to get it again and take a picture next time!

Delicious Food, Noisy Atmosphere
The food here is delicious. They have a really good seasoning, and their plating is very well done. The staff who serve are friendly. My favorite dishes are, first, the beef soup, then the salbutes and panuchos, frijol con puerco, and recently I tried the pork rib in green sauce, and it's exquisite. I highly recommend it. My friends like the carne asada and the tamales. The only thing I really don't like is the very noisy atmosphere. I don't understand why they have televisions and music at the same time, both at a very high volume. It's truly very strident. If your goal is to chat with your companions, keep this in mind. Even so, my friends and I go frequently because we really like the food. I hope they can pay attention to this detail, and everything would be perfect. 😊👍🏼

Underrated Gem with Stellar Cochinita
Honestly, this place is a really underrated gem in San Francisco. I was amazed by their quesadillas and panuchos. The premium meats, especially their cochinita, are phenomenal. The reason it's not a 5-star review is that their regular chicken and poc chuc meat were really lacking in flavor and have been dry when I've had them. Also, if you get a quesadilla, I recommend getting the pico on the side because otherwise, it makes the whole thing soggy and sweet. Still, the overall quality is great; I love their asada super quesadilla and cochinita panucho. I hope to see them become more popular in the future.

Amazing Poc Chuc, Will Return!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was amazing, and I particularly enjoyed the poc chuc. The portion was more than enough, leaving me super full even though I'm a big eater. I would definitely come here again!

Interesting Mayan Flavors with a Few Hits and Misses
My experience at the restaurant offered a taste of Mayan cuisine, alongside other options like Peruvian lomo saltado. I particularly enjoyed the poc chuc taco, the one with red onions, and would definitely order it again. However, the cochinita was too tender for my preference, resembling shredded chicken, though it was otherwise acceptable. For drinks, the Cebada is similar to horchata but made with barley instead of rice. The fizzy apple juice was also flavorful and sweet.

Delicious Yucatecan Food and Great Service
My experience at the restaurant was very positive. The food had a delicious Yucatecan flavor, and the attention from the staff was meticulous. Yasmin and Pastora were particularly pleasant. It's a good place to go for Yucatecan gastronomy. I am grateful for the experience.

A Shining Light in SF Dining
When it feels like restaurant food quality everywhere is going down while prices go up, Loltun stands apart - a shining light in the darkness. The food is so good and the prices are so affordable you might forget which city you're eating in. It's really like nothing else. The food is delicious, you can taste the care that is put in, the freshness and quality of the ingredients, in every bite. The portions are great for sharing and prices are super reasonable. It instantly became one of my favorite restaurants in SF. Everything on the menu is great, you can't go wrong. The Ponuchos, Salbutes, Tamales and Tortas are fantastic. The Poc-Chuc is incredible and the Caldo de Res is soothing, warm, and flavorful. Every dish comes with sauces, pickled veggies, citrus, salsa, and more. The combinations of flavors you can put together in a bit is unrivaled. Whether you're visiting the city or you've lived here for years, I truly cannot recommend this place enough.

Busy Yucatán Food with a Caveat
My experience at this busy restaurant serving food from Yucatán was mixed. The staff were friendly, which was a definite plus. However, the area outside can be scary at night, which detracted from the overall atmosphere.

Excellent Food, Poor Customer Service
My experience at the restaurant was a mix of excellent food and a significant issue with customer service. The food was excellent, and the waiter was top-notch. However, I believe the girl at the POS in the afternoons, due to her way of treating customers and her bad attitude, makes you not want to return to the restaurant. It's a poor customer service experience with her angry face and constant bad mood. I think customers deserve better treatment.
