Kofta okay, rest was mid
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The kofta was alright, but the rest of the meal was very mid. I was surprised to find that half of my container was filled with carrots, and I expected more of the main dish for the price.
The rice and lentils needed more spice and moisture, and the meal could have benefited from a sauce component.

Trash bags and a laughing owner
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. While the food was good, the paper bags used for packaging were of poor quality, seemingly to save money. To make matters worse, when I dropped my food, the owner just laughed.
This was a truly trash experience.

Amazing Food, Fast Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food is amazing every time I eat here. I highly, highly, highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for a fast option.
The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. I had no wait time, and the vegetarian offerings were clearly labeled. It's a great spot for indoor dining.

Terrible experience, food and service
My experience at this restaurant was the worst ever. The food gave me heartburn and then diarrhea. When I tried to complain and ask to speak to the manager, Carlos refused to give me his number.
It was not sababa at all! 😞

Fantastic Food, Overpriced and Shady Billing
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was absolutely fantastic, truly a highlight. However, the overall experience was marred by being overcharged.
To make matters worse, they refused to show me a receipt, which is a major red flag regarding transparency and fairness. While the food was great, the billing practices left a sour taste.

Good food, but watch your bill
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While the food itself was good and healthy, the checkout process was problematic. I strongly advise asking for a receipt and checking it carefully, especially during busy lunch times.
I noticed they tried to sneak in an extra $3 drink that I didn't order. When I pointed this out, the checkout person was very rude. It's a shame because the food quality is otherwise excellent.

Sababa: A Downtown Lunch Oasis
My experience at Sababa in SOMA, near Yank Sing and Salesforce Tower, was that of a delightful lunch oasis in downtown SF. The food was consistently fresh and delicious, complemented by fast service. The ambiance was also lovely, modern, and peaceful.
They are primarily open for lunch. I particularly enjoyed their Falafel, quinoa, and hummus dish.

Worst Mediterranean Food in SF
My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food quality was poor, making it the worst I've tested in San Francisco compared to other Mediterranean restaurants. Additionally, the staff primarily spoke Spanish, and nobody spoke English, which was a significant barrier.
The prices were also overpriced for the quality of food served. I would not return, even for free.

Sababa's Decline: From Five Stars to Forgettable
Sababa used to be a five-star favorite for me, especially for their sabich sandwich, which was the envy of my coworkers' lunch table. However, in the past month, both the falafel and sabich sandwiches have unfortunately gone from a source of joy to just 'meh' and forgettable. I'm at a point where I might not return, and I cannot recommend it.
The pita sandwiches now feel lackluster, missing ingredients that were previously present. I'm unsure if it's due to watered-down hummus or reduced veggies, and frankly, I don't care to investigate further. Sababa, you once held a secret and promised to be better than Oren's hummus.
Please don't become another Chipotle.

Fresh Lunch Spot with Spicy Sauce!
This has become one of my new favorite fresh, somewhat healthy lunch places. However, don't be too flattered or hyped, as the bar in Soma is pretty low. P.
S. Don't forget to grab one of those elf-sized pots of green sauce filled with spicy flavor wizardry. I spill that fire generously on my pita every time!
