Great Lunch Spot with Fresh Fish
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially for lunch. They offer a great value with their $5 lunch menu. I highly recommend the ramen, and adding the $3 Chashu is a must.
The fishes are fresh, and the service is great. Overall, a highly recommended spot for a delicious and affordable meal.

Delicious and Fresh Early Dinner Stop
My boyfriend and I took the wrong bus and ended up stopping in for an early dinner. We ordered the 2-item bento box, which included salmon teriyaki and a California roll. We also got the shrimp tempura.
Everything was very fresh and tasted delicious. I would definitely stop by again if you're in the area!

Rancid Fish, Avoid This Place
My experience at this restaurant was extremely negative. I was served rancid chu-toro, which caused me to vomit. The fish tasted overwhelmingly fishy, indicating it was likely a week old and in no way reminiscent of fresh tuna.
The color was also off for chu-toro, and the smell was similarly unappetizing. I believe this establishment should not be in business given the severe issue of serving spoiled food. For comparison, if you are ever in San Diego, I recommend Sushi Ota, which is a decent place and would never serve rotting fish.
There is absolutely no excuse for serving spoiled food.

Neighborhood Sushi Gem - Still Great!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's a true neighborhood favorite for sushi, and has been since it was called Bento Peak. The prices for sushi in the area are the best, and they offer really great specialty rolls.
The hot food, like the chicken teriyaki, was also delicious. The sashimi is consistently of high quality.

Hidden Gem: Bento Peak Delivers Great Food!
I found Bento Peak by pure luck while I was super hungry and craving Japanese food. Initially, I was a bit concerned because the place was almost empty, but to my surprise, the food was great! It turned out to be a fantastic find, and I've now become a regular.
The Bento Box offers great value, but I also recommend exploring the menu, which is huge.

Good Sushi, Overwhelmed Server
My experience at the restaurant was good overall. The sushi and sashimi were delicious. However, there was only one server working, and she seemed a bit overwhelmed.
Despite the service challenge, it was a good experience.

Great Food, Friendly Service
My experience at this restaurant featured a nice dark interior with ample seating, including a semi-private room suitable for larger groups. The service was friendly and fast. I enjoyed the bento boxes, which were a good portion, though the salmon teriyaki was as expected.
The wasabi was freshly grated, and I appreciated their daily specials. The amberjack sashimi was fresh and well-plated, but the Kama was just okay. The housemade curry was good and served in a great portion.

Fresh Hamachi, Lumpy Wasabi
My experience at the restaurant offered a large menu selection. I particularly enjoyed the fresh Hamachi sashimi and the Hamachi Kama. However, I was not a fan of the lumpy gritty wasabi.
