Authentic Hawaiian Poke in the City
My experience at City Poke was fantastic! The restaurant truly nails that true island flavor. The owner, who is from Hawaii, brings a wonderful sense of aloha with him – he's super friendly, down-to-earth, and clearly passionate about sharing good food. The poke itself was so ono (delicious), fresh, flavorful, and totally legit. They offer classic Hawaiian-style fish alongside “mainland” toppings, a choice the owner explained was to "give the city what it wants. " However, for the purists, the foundation of the dishes is all Hawaii. It was a quick and delicious meal that felt like a little taste of home.

Fresh Fish and Great Value Lunch
My experience at this restaurant was excellent, especially for lunch in FiDi. I found it to be the always correct choice for a midday meal. The portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable, with only a $1 increase per scoop. A fantastic bonus was the free crab salad that came with the order. The fish was incredibly fresh and great, and their ginger was consistently good. The service was rated a 5, atmosphere a 4, and food a 5, making it a highly recommended spot.

Favorite Poke in the Bay Area!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I work in downtown again, which means I can once again enjoy the glorious taste of poke in my mouth. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, each receiving a perfect score of 5. It's my favorite Poke spot in the entire Bay Area.

Flavorful Veggie Bowl, Small Portion
I had the veggie bowl with tofu and found it really flavorful. The portion size could’ve been a bit more generous, but overall, it’s a great spot for a tasty vegetarian lunch.

Fresh Fish, Customizable Bowls, Worth the Walk
I made the 15-minute walk from my office to try this place, and I was not disappointed. The fish here is incredibly fresh and flavorful. While I usually frequent the Benito Poke food truck, I appreciated that this establishment offers the traditional ability to customize your own bowl. During the lunch rush, the small space felt a bit overwhelming, and I felt pressured to move quickly as others were also trying to get lunch. However, I needed time to read through all the topping options as it was my first visit. The staff was kind enough not to rush me. I do wish they had a wider drink selection, but overall, the food was delicious, and I will definitely be back!

Good Poke Flavors, Small Portions
I visited this small takeaway spot and found it to have a lot of choices, though it was a bit confusing to figure out what was free and what wasn't. I ordered a small poke bowl, and the flavors of the poke were very good. However, for the half and half option, I felt there could have been a little more rice, and the service sizes of poke were a bit too small. Additionally, they charged for seaweed salad, which is unusual as most poke spots don't. Overall, the flavor is good, but the portion size is a bit small. On a professional note, it would be best for the servers not to have AirPods in their ears.

Epic Poke, Dingy Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was defined by its sensational and fresh poke. I no longer eat poke anywhere else, and I recommend you don't either. The vibes are epic, which more than makes up for the atmosphere, which is just good, not great, and a little dingy. The food is a perfect 5/5, and the service is also excellent at 5/5. I visited for lunch and the price per person was $20–30.

Awesome Poke, Soggy Rice!
My first time here, and I have to say I love the sashimi poke here. The flavor and quality are super awesome. But! But! The rice is sooo soggy 🥲. The restaurant said it’s “sushi rice” on the menu, but it doesn’t taste like sushi rice at all. There was no taste of vinegar and sake, and it was so soggy. I know barely any restaurants here make authentic sushi rice, but please, please don’t put so much water to cook the rice.

Disappointing Fish, Not Worth the Visit
I do not recommend this place. The fish is not fresh. I think it has to do with the fact that they are not open every day and they close very early. I doubt they have enough rotation of the fish. I love poke bowls and have tried many different places, but this one, unfortunately, doesn’t make the cut. If you want to get some fishy fish, then this is the place for you.
