We chose Turo Cafe to cater our Sunday Wedding Brunch, and it was a resounding success! All of our family and friends absolutely loved every dish. The staff at Turo worked incredibly closely with us to craft the perfect menu, accommodating all our guests' dietary restrictions while also featuring our favorite authentic dishes. It was particularly impressive that they managed to delight both our Filipino family and those who had never experienced Filipino food before – a truly challenging feat! Everyone inquired about our caterer, and many expressed a desire to visit or order for their own events. We highly recommend Turo for any large party catering. Soooo masarap! :)

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The food was excellent, and the service was equally great. As someone from Sacramento, this has become one of my go-to places every time I visit. The atmosphere was rated a 5, the service a 5, and the food a 5, indicating a consistently high-quality experience across the board. It's suitable for all group sizes and offers a quiet environment, making it easy to talk.

Turo Cafe has consistently been my favorite Filipino place. I have tried several places around the Bay Area and so far, this is the best. I have never dined in person, but I have ordered often through Door Dash. We also tried their catering service and our guests were raving about the food! The 8oz serving is good for 1, but maybe not a lot if you're hungry. The 16oz can last me 2 meals and most of their food freezes well. Some of the food we have tried: * Jeprox - crispy and flavorful! Even after 20 minutes of travel. Pairs well with their vinegar and tomato. * Kare kare - not too salty, generous with the meat. The meat was very tender! I added more vegetables when it reached our place. It was good even without bagoong! I've tried it as a small order and for catering (1 tray) and the taste is very consistent. * Pork sinigang - my favorite Filipino food! Get your rice ready, it was sour to my liking! The 8oz is already filling and enough for 1 person. * Chopsuey with Tofu - this was a special request for catering, the guests loved it and the vegetables were cooked well (not soggy). Tofu was crunchy on the outside, soft inside. * Bicol express - I expected it to be spicy, good thing it wasn't! It was very creamy, you can taste the bagoong in it. There was a lot of pork fat (good if you like the soft fatty meat!), had to look for the meat. * Laing - perfect! It was very creamy and tasty. Good to pair with garlic rice. * Lumpiang shanghai - good size and serving, crispy! I ordered a tray and everyone loved it. My least favorite so far is the chicken sisig, it was bland and a bit hard to chew. We will try pork sisig to compare it next time.

My experience at the restaurant was surprisingly delightful. The beef stew over garlic rice has become my new go-to for breakfast on the go, and I'm not joking! They also accommodate special orders if you call ahead of time.

I'm so glad I went here; this is the best Filipino food I've had in the city. This place was hella good. The pancit palabok was amazing. I don't think I've ever had palabok at a restaurant and liked it that much, but it's bomb here. Bicol express was my favorite thing, not spicy but creamy and flavorful. Kare Kare was also a standout, it was so rich without feeling overly greasy. Chicken adobo is always delicious, but this one was great; the chicken was not dried out, moist but fell apart as you ate it. It was a little peppery, which I really like. We also got longaniza and lumpia, which are always good. Everything was great.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, largely due to the exceptional service from a younger Filipino guy. He was incredibly accommodating, allowing me to try samples of various items to find what I liked. He was so generous with the samples that I actually got full just standing there! I genuinely appreciate his efforts and wish I could do more to show my gratitude towards this fine establishment. It's an awesome and delicious restaurant, and God bless them.

My experience at this restaurant has been great all the way around. I eat here a minimum of once a week. As someone who lives in Oakland, this is my other go-to spot on this side of the bridge.

My initial experience was disappointing as I ordered 5 pieces of Lumpia and received BURNT ones. My boyfriend confirmed they were inedible. I requested that this not happen in the future. However, I returned and was pleasantly surprised! They gave me more than 5 Lumpia, and this time they were perfectly cooked and not burnt at all. Thank you for the excellent recovery!

We’ve ordered Lechon and lumpia for parties from this place twice. Everyone from our party loved the food and couldn’t stop talking how good it was. We’ll definitely come back to try other dishes. Highly recommend this place!

My first experience here was shortly after they opened, and I was instantly met with a friendly face behind the counter named Clarissa. She expertly advised me on all the food options and convinced me to try a plate featuring the BEST fish, moist chicken, and "hawaii shrimp truck like" garlic rice – dishes I've never had better, even having lived in Hawaii. The food was so exceptional that after my class at CCSF, I made a special trip back for Pancit and more chicken. They were not only happy to see me again but also recommended another dish that was even superior! This is the best little spot for Philippino food I've ever been to. I highly recommend giving it a try and saying hi to Clarissa!
