Having lived in Shanghai for two years, we found it challenging to locate many authentic Chinese dishes in the US. We were incredibly grateful to discover this restaurant, which offered delicious Shanghai dumplings, a flavorful hot and sour soup, and perfectly cooked rice. The food was a definite highlight, earning a perfect score.

If I could kiss the chef, I would. They truly are the dumping specialist 😌. My experience was fantastic, with the food and atmosphere both receiving a perfect 5/5. The service was also excellent, rated 5/5.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, primarily due to the amazing dumplings. The XLB were on par with other well-known establishments, and the rice roll was exceptionally well-executed, a rare find. They also offer amazing vegetarian dumplings, which is a great option. The Dan Dan noodle was great, and the Wan ton in chilli oil was a hit for some, though a miss for others. The 5 spice beef over rice was satisfying, and while the chow mein was just okay, the true stars are the dumplings, XLB, and rice rolls.

The Sheng Jian Bao also impressed with its thin bao skin, nice pan-frying, and tasty filling. We also enjoyed the Sticky Rice Roll, giving it a 👍. The service was rated a 4, atmosphere a 3, and food a 1.

My experience at the restaurant was excellent, particularly with the food. The vegetarian dumplings were unique and flavorful, and the pork buns were delicate and delicious. The sticky rice roll was a family favorite. I also enjoyed the noodles with peanut sauce, which featured diced pork and the best, perfectly cooked thicker noodles. Even my son's sweet and sour chicken, made with lots of white meat, was cooked perfectly. The service and atmosphere were both rated a 4, contributing to a very positive dining experience.

By the time we finished, a crowd had formed outside the small establishment. I tried the Hot and Sour Soup, which was really good and could be made vegetarian for my friend. The Sticky Rice Roll brought back fond memories, and I found it hard to find this dish elsewhere. However, the Five Spice Beef Stew Noodle Soup was a bit bland for me, despite the beef being tender; it tasted more like a two-spice noodle soup. The Shanghai Dumplings were not bad and had some juice, and the Vegetarian Dumplings were decent. Overall, the food quality was good, but one dish fell short of expectations.

I particularly enjoyed the corn soup and the hot sour soup, both of which were really good. The friend rice was average, but the dumplings were so good that the kids devoured many plates! Following a recommendation, my experience at this restaurant was positive. It's a no frills place, but the dumplings were sooooo good! We ordered a variety, including pan-fried potstickers, Shanghai dumplings, and shrimp and pork cabbage dumplings. While the sweet and sour chicken was average, the dumplings were exceptional.
