Nice staff, good gelato scoop
My experience at this restaurant was limited, but I can say that the scoop of gelato we tried was good. Additionally, the staff was very nice.

Delicious Japanese Crepe in Japantown
My experience at this Japantown classic was great! I always make an effort to stop by when I'm in the area. While I haven't tried other menu items, the Japanese Crepe is absolutely delicious. The crepe itself has a nice chew, and the ratio between the gelato and red beans is perfect. One challenge is that due to the area's high traffic, seating can be especially difficult. Here's to another 25 years! 🍦🍵🫘🇯🇵

Don't Waste Your Money
I would not recommend wasting your money here. The food was hard and looked like toast. No pierdan su dinero. Está duro. Parece una tostada.

Unpleasant Service and Hidden Charges
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. I pre-ordered a crepe for pickup, and upon payment, I discovered they had pre-added a tip to my bill, which I promptly removed. To my surprise, there was also a mysterious 4% “SF charge”, indicating hidden extras for takeout. The food itself was perfectly average. The prep staff lacked protective gear, raising concerns about hygiene. When I arrived for pickup, a minor name mix-up resulted in eye-rolls and dismissive treatment from the staff. I'd advise anyone ordering from here to bring a sense of humor and hope for better treatment than I received.

Aggressive Staff, Okay Pancakes
I came here to pick up my order, expecting a quick and simple process. Instead, it felt like an audition where I had to pass unspoken "rules" to get my food. The staff were surprisingly aggressive for a pancake shop, making the pick-up feel like an inconvenience. Subtle eye-rolls, lingering stares, and smirks exchanged in front of me were all part of the experience. The pancakes themselves were fine, but if you enjoy being tested and quietly mocked while grabbing dessert, this is the place. 千奇米去呢间铺,简直冇苦摞来申!快d执笠好过啦!丢拉性👍👍👍

Overpriced Crepe, Never Again
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered the Nutella and Banana crepe, and it came out to $11. SMH. Given that it's a tourist area, the overpriced food is understandable, but it was still a negative experience. I tried it once and will never again return.

Bad experience with billing and service
I came here a couple times and a while ago my sister got a single scoop ice cream. Later, she checked her receipt and noticed she got charged for a double scoop. We tried contacting them and asking for a refund or something. They said they couldn’t really do anything about it and were rude. Really bad experience.

Sophie's Crepes: A Japantown Gem
My experience at Sophie's Crepes, a long-standing favorite in San Francisco's Japantown since 2000, was delightful. The cozy little shop, with its bright yellow trim and casual charm, offered an inviting atmosphere that felt both nostalgic and welcoming. I ordered the Japanese Special crepe, featuring matcha ice cream with red bean paste, and it truly did not disappoint. The crepe itself was freshly made, perfectly warm with a delightful contrast of slightly crispy edges and a soft, chewy center. The matcha ice cream had a rich, earthy flavor that beautifully complemented the sweet and mildly nutty red bean paste. I appreciated that it wasn't overly sugary, making it even more enjoyable. Despite the shop being fairly busy, the service was quick and friendly. The small seating area inside and a few tables outside provided a pleasant space to enjoy the crepe while soaking in the Japantown vibe. It's a fun spot to take a break, especially on a warm afternoon. Whether you're seeking a sweet treat or comforting Japanese-inspired food, Sophie's Crepes is definitely worth a stop. The quality has remained consistent over the years, solidifying its status as a local favorite.

Delicious Cream and Crispy Crepes!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, primarily due to the incredible cream they serve. It was delicious, with the perfect balance – not too sweet and not greasy at all. The crepes themselves were also a highlight, with a delightful crispy texture that made them so good. Overall, a very satisfying food experience.

Sweet Crepe, Sour Service
My experience at this restaurant involved ordering a sweet crepe with strawberry, whip cream, and ice cream, which was good. However, the customer service was non-existent and not as sweet as their ice cream. The cashier, a Korean or Japanese woman in her 30s-40s, offered no greetings or acknowledgments. Additionally, there was a 4% extra charge for no apparent reason, despite the crepe already being expensive. The working environment for the two men preparing the crepes seemed a bit tight, and they were working without hair nets, appearing greasy and sweaty.
