Fun Drink, Hidden Fee
Getting an iced PSL in a pumpkin was a fun experience. However, Avotoasty was not transparent about their 3% credit card surcharge, and I wasn’t aware of this fee until I saw it on my emailed receipt. I thought it was required in California to be transparent about mandatory fees.

Exceptional Matcha and Great Experience
It’s super rare to find a truly good ceremonial grade matcha, so I’m really glad that I found this place during my trip to SF because this is one of the best matchas I’ve ever had! 🍵 The toasts were fresh and pretty filling, as well as the protein smoothie had a great texture and taste. Good atmosphere overall, I always appreciate a screen for orders so I could take my time and customize everything. The service was really fast.

Creative Sourdough with a Beet Latte Hiccup
This is such a great little spot! I love how many of the sandwiches are made with classic San Francisco sourdough and plenty of avocado. They offer tons of fun, creative options you don’t see everywhere. I tried the beet latte (or beet cappuccino, whatever it was)… and I just couldn’t do it. Maybe it was the almond milk, but the taste was hard to get through. I’ll stick with matcha tea next time—and the food, of course, which was fresh and delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious Breakfast in San Francisco
We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at this small, fine establishment in San Francisco over four days. We tried various toasts and were consistently and pleasantly surprised by both the taste and presentation. Everything, from the toast to the coffee and orange juice, was freshly prepared and delicious. The entire team was very friendly and helpful.

Disappointing Avocado Quality
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing, primarily due to the avocado quality. The avocado on my toast was not fresh and tasted similar to a refrigerated, slightly oxidized guacamole pouch. Given the restaurant's name, I expected freshness and quality to be a priority, especially considering the $14 price for a single toast. I would be unlikely to return because of this. On a positive note, the service was decently quick.
