Excellent Chef's Selection for Groups
My experience with a larger group was fantastic, and the chef's selection menu was precisely the right choice. We started with a variety of appetizers, including dumplings, wontons, and pork buns. The main courses were a constant stream of delicious shareable entrees, such as Sichuan chicken and fish and broccoli. The food was exceptional, and the variety ensured everyone found something they loved.

Amazing Food and Service at Fang
I had the pleasure of dining at Fang during a business trip to San Francisco with a group of 20. Knowing the owners, Peter and Kathy Fang, and that her father also owns House of Nanking, I was very excited to experience the restaurant. We were seated at a large table in the lower level, across from the wine wall. The food was absolutely amazing and it was served continuously. Pete Fang himself was present and even assisted in serving our group. While I lost track of everything I ate, I started with a Lychee It Up. The Pork Belly Steamed Buns were particularly awesome.

Exceptional Experience with Mr. Fang!
My experience at the restaurant on 10/1 with four colleagues was truly outstanding. We entrusted Mr. Fang with our dining decisions, and we were so happy we did. He thoughtfully inquired about any allergies or religious restrictions. Everything served was great, and I particularly loved the fried rice made at the table. Although one colleague requested broccoli, which initially seemed a bit odd, it turned out to be the best broccoli I've ever eaten. The service was super attentive, and the pacing of food and drinks was perfect. I will absolutely go again!

Vegetarian Wonton Soup a Hit, Fried Rice a Miss
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. They do offer vegetarian options, which is a plus. However, the restaurant was very, very, very busy, which significantly impacted the service. The space felt very cramped, and at one point, chairs were being shuffled around, resulting in my husband's knee being hit without any acknowledgment. The atmosphere was very chaotic, though thankfully, there was no music, which would have only added to the unpleasantness. Our favorite dish was the vegetarian wonton soup; we would likely return just for that. Unfortunately, the fried rice was a disappointment, and I would advise others not to waste their time on it.

Rude Staff and Disappointing Noodles
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. While the staff was okay on a previous visit, this time they were uptight and not helpful. I received a weird look from the staff, as did my friend. The noodles with scallions were a different type than expected and looked significantly different. Due to the poor service and unwelcoming atmosphere, I won’t be returning and won’t recommend this spot to anyone, especially Black folks and Latinos, given the c-glares I received. The ambience was off and the energy was bad, feeling like bad feng shui.

Not Chinese Food, Terrible Experience
My experience at this restaurant was far from satisfactory. I was unsure about what the "sources of nourishment" were, but it was definitely not Chinese food. When I asked my friend about the reservation wage he would have to be paid to return, he stated 500 dollars. It was the worst experience.

Convenient Downtown Spot with a Price Tag
My experience at this restaurant was generally positive, highlighting its convenient location right in downtown San Francisco. The place felt clean, and the service was impressively fast and efficient. While the food was decent, I found it to be a bit overpriced, though this is somewhat expected given the prime location. It's a welcoming spot that's worth a try if you're staying nearby or visiting the area and don't mind paying a little extra for the convenience.

Fantastic Food, Service, and Ambiance!
My experience at this restaurant has been fantastic, primarily when dining with coworkers. While I'm unsure about the cost as I've never seen the menu, the ambiance is truly exceptional, both upstairs and downstairs. The food is excellent, and the service is "in point. " We typically dine in groups of 8-15, and from the moment we sit down, we are served food non-stop. The vegetarian offerings are clearly labeled, and while I can somewhat recommend it for vegetarians, the overall experience is outstanding.
