Best Chinese in Sunset!
Hands down, this is the best Chinese restaurant in the Sunset! It's easy to get a table because they do a lot of takeout. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is family oriented. You won't be disappointed.

Good Food, Forgetful Service
This is a mom and pop place offering some good comfort foods. The Hot N Sour soup had very good flavor, and the dumplings were good. I enjoyed the great flavor of the Wasabi cold noodles and found the eggplants yummy, though they were a bit greasy. The Tan Tan noodles were also very good. However, the service was slow, possibly due to it being CNY eve. Our food took a while to come out. The lady at the counter did apologize and mentioned they were busy with too many to-go orders. We also ordered beers, which never arrived. We asked the waiter and the lady at the counter multiple times. They acknowledged our request but seemed to forget as soon as they walked away. It took about five friendly reminders before we finally got to enjoy our beers. The complimentary sesame dumplings desserts were surprisingly good.

Worth the Drive for Delicious Chinese Food
I recently discovered this restaurant after reading about it in a SF Gate article and have been back 4 times already. The service is great and the food is delicious! Even though we live nearly 50 miles away, the meal is always worth the drive. I particularly love the mushu and the crab & asparagus soup. While the restaurant's decor hasn't changed in 50 years, it remains my favorite Chinese restaurant, period.

Inexcusable Wait Times and Questionable Kitchen Practices
We visited last night, Saturday, July 13th, for dinner around 6: 45 pm. Having been here before, we knew the food was just okay. During our entire visit, only one other party was present, occupying a second table. Our primary complaint is the inexcusably long wait for our food. To make matters worse, the other party, who arrived after us, received some of their dishes before ours. There was no explanation or apology offered for the delay. On a previous visit, I witnessed the cook smoking a cigarette while stir-frying food, with ash poised to fall into the wok. We probably won't be back.

Quaint Spot with Excellent Mango Beef
I visited this restaurant for lunch and found the place to be quaint and unassuming. It's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. The menu is extensive, offering a big selection of interesting dishes featuring various meats like beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fish, seafood, and vegetarian options. The service was good, and they provided complimentary hot tea. I tried the mango beef, which was excellent, along with some dumplings and pot stickers, which were also good. Despite arriving around noon, the restaurant was nearly empty. The tables were equipped with a good variety of condiments, including salt, garlic powder, vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil. However, the jars were sticky to the touch, which transferred to my fingers.

Solid Food, Needs Decor Update
My experience at this restaurant involved ordering a sweet and sour pork rice plate to go, which cost $15. 40. While a bit on the expensive side, it was accompanied by a nice sweet and sour soup. The pork itself was crispy and the sauce was a good, albeit slightly sweet, flavor. I found myself wanting more rice, as there was a sufficient amount of meat and vegetables. The interior could use some attention, particularly the very dirty carpets, though the presence of flowers did add a touch of brightness.

Peking Duck Requires Advance Order
Sad face. I wanted Peking duck, but unfortunately, you now have to order it a whole day ahead. So, FYI - this is important information to know before your visit.

Authentic Chinese Food, Superb Service
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed authentic Chinese food, which was surprisingly Southeastern style despite the name 'Peking Restaurant'. The service was super good, and I felt it was worth every penny I paid.
