Delicious Food, Great Experience!
My experience at this restaurant was delicious! We tried a variety of dishes, including the beef pancake, soup dumpling, spicy beef noodle soup, beef tendon salad, cold bean noodle, and spicy wontons. Everything we ordered was good.
The service and atmosphere were also excellent, both receiving a perfect score.

Kingdom of Dumpling: A Delivery Surprise
Kingdom of Dumpling surprised me in the best way. We tried delivery on a whim and it turned out to be so good. The pork and Napa cabbage dumplings were juicy with tender skins, and the Shanghai pan fried soup dumplings had that crispy bottom with rich flavor.
The eggplant tofu with rice was another standout. The sauce was flavorful without being too heavy or sweet, unlike a lot of versions you get elsewhere. Garlic pea shoots were fresh and simple, and the farmer’s cucumber was cold and refreshing, though it could have been marinated longer.
Together, everything made for such a satisfying meal. I have pretty high standards for Chinese delivery and am rarely impressed, but this hit. They even sell their dumplings frozen if you want to stock up at home.
A random delivery experiment turned into a new go-to spot for us. Very impressed.

Disappointing Return to a Hyped Spot
This place used to be good 15-20 years ago. Looking at the type of people waiting for a table or the reviews, IYKYK. As usual, it was stuffy inside, just like it was 10+ years ago, which made it uncomfortable to eat with the kitchen being right next to you.
The XLB was mediocre with a thick wrap. The prices are pretty high for what it is, but that's SF for you. The only reason I came again after so long was because a friend wanted to, but you're better off at other places because this one is hyped just like San Tung.
Keep the certain demographic of people here though so we can keep our legit spots clear from wait times.

Consistently Great Food and Service!
I've been coming here for years, and honestly, I think it just gets better with time. The service is really speedy, and it's actually full service, which is nice. They will make you pretty much anything vegetarian if you ask.
I highly recommend them making you some tofu chow mein; it was incredible. So are the garlic green beans.

Tasty XLB and Sheng Jian Bao
My experience at the restaurant involved trying two types of dumplings. The XLB had a skin that was neither too thin nor too thick, with a tasty soup and a tasty filling. The Sheng Jian Bao featured a thicker bao skin and was nicely pan-fried, also containing a tasty filling.
The service received a score of 4, atmosphere a 3, and food a 4.

Favorite Eggplant and Tofu Spot
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially with their eggplant dish and fried tofu. They are consistently fresh, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly satisfying. While I've also tried the chive dumplings and string beans, the eggplant truly stands out as the star.
I highly recommend it! The establishment itself is small, with only about 5-6 tables, making it ideal for intimate gatherings of 2-4 people rather than large groups. You might notice the tables can be a bit sticky, but this is quite typical for a casual, affordable Chinese restaurant.
Despite this minor detail, it remains one of the best places for the price.

Tasteful Dumplings and Dim Sum!
Our experience at the restaurant was truly delightful. We savored some of the most tasteful dumplings and dim sum we have ever eaten. We ordered the fried pork dim sum and pork dumplings with chives, accompanied by some veggies on the side, and they were really delicious!
I also highly recommend trying the Thai ice tea. It was a delicious experience and we spent a very nice evening. Thank you.

Good Food, Watch Your Bill
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was very good, and the prices were also good. However, I had a concern about the final bill.
Our server did not provide an itemized bill, and the total amount seemed higher than expected for what we ordered. While I'm not certain if there was a mistake, I felt uncomfortable asking for an itemized bill. The food itself is definitely worth a visit, but I recommend keeping a close eye on what you order.

Disappointing Delivery: Sugary Wings & Stingy Beef
My experience with this restaurant was for a delivery order. To my unpleasant surprise, the "crispy chicken wings" were swimming in a sea of extremely sugary liquid. The "xo beef chow fun" had good flavor and a mix of veggies, but verrrrrrry little beef.
I thought they forgot it at first. There is no excuse for such an incredibly stingy portion of beef.
