Authentic Cantonese Food Worth the Wait
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, offering excellent Cantonese food. Locals line up out the door, and while the seating is very limited, it's well worth the wait. I had the 3 meats chow mein, which was delicious.
The table condiments of hot chili and white pepper were fresh and spicy, completely enhancing the spice on the dish 😋. I will definitely come back again and again.

Amazing Food and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was amazing, and the service was equally impressive. It's a dainty and nifty spot to grab some grub.
My friend, visiting San Francisco for the first time, had a great time chowing down on chow mein here.

Authentic Chinese Food Experience
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was fabulous, with excellent flavor, portion size, and food quality. Everything tasted so fresh.
This place is clearly not for tourists; it's a local restaurant for local people. The experience of eating authentic Chinese food was definitely worth it. The atmosphere was very quiet, which was sometimes disconcerting.
I believe adding some ambient music would be a plus. I highly recommend it for lovers of Chinese food.

Great Food, Terrible Service Experience
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was awesome, truly a highlight. However, the service was a significant letdown.
I was informed only after paying that cards were accepted for bills over $20, which was not communicated beforehand. To make matters worse, when I paid with coins, the waitress intentionally held back extra coins, implying they were for tips. She even lectured me, saying, “They all need tips here, ” and assumed I was a tourist who could be easily taken advantage of.
While I always tip for a smooth experience, being pressured and lectured for tips completely ruined the service aspect for me. I suggest either adopting a more classic American service style or dining with company to avoid such awkward and forced tipping situations.

New Fortune's Spicy Mongolian Beef
This was my first visit to New Fortune, a new restaurant I discovered after exiting the subway station in Chinatown. I decided to try their Mongolian Beef to compare it with the version from my hometown Chinese restaurants. New Fortune's rendition tasted slightly better, possibly because they use Szechuan peppers, which I appreciate as I enjoy spicy food.
Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of my lunch. A good sign for a Chinese restaurant, in my opinion, is seeing many Asian people dining there.

Awesome Cantonese Food After 5 Years
It was our second time visiting this restaurant. We accidentally found the same place five years later and it's still awesome! I particularly dig the pepper and black bean noodles.
The food was rated a 5 out of 5, and the service also received a 5. While the atmosphere was rated a 3, the overall experience was fantastic.

Disappointing Chicken Chow Fun
I was very excited to try the chicken chow fun here after reading other reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was severely let down. The dish lacked any discernible flavor, the noodles were super thin, and the bok choy was shriveled and old. Overall, the food quality was disappointing.

Authentic Chinese with a Wait
This is a very homestyle Chinese food spot in the city. The menu features both typical dishes like chow mein and chow fun, as well as less common options such as salted fish fried rice. They also offer a wide variety of wonton/noodle soups.
I found the food to be very authentic tasting, though it felt like it was missing that little extra edge for top marks. The pricing is reasonable, falling in the middle – not cheap, not expensive. The only significant downside is the limited space inside, and they get very busy.
From asking for a table to eating, it took about 45-50 minutes on a Sunday lunch. While they can't help the small space, it's something to be aware of if you're starving. Additionally, the middle table is family-style, meaning you might sit with strangers.
The service was good, rated 4/5, and the food also received a 4/5 rating.

Excellent Vegetarian Options!
My experience at this restaurant was really good. As a vegetarian, I was impressed with the quality of the vegetarian food. The restaurant offers clearly labeled vegetarian dishes, and I was given a somewhat recommend for vegetarians.
The meal was dinner, and the price per person was between $10–20. I dined in an indoor dining area.

Disappointing Mongolian Beef Experience
I was so excited to try the Mongolian beef, and I even didn't complain about the over 20-minute wait to get it. I sat at a bench and opened my plate to find a massive amount of rice with an average portion of Mongolian beef. My first bite was not amazing; the beef was a little soft and mushy, and while there was a ton of heat, there was almost no spice for flavor.
I ate what I could and discarded the rest, feeling super disappointed. I'm not upset about supporting a small shop or the wait time, but I am disappointed by the less than mediocre food when the reviews promised it would be amazing. The Mongolian beef was definitely not good.
