A Charming SF Breakfast Gem
My experience at Chloe's Café was wonderful. This café is a true San Francisco treasure, maintaining its heart and charm over the decades. I used to live nearby, and my weekend ritual involved checking the line before heading down, as there's always a wait on weekends – and for good reason!
It's a small, cozy spot with limited indoor seating, but they've expanded to outdoor seating post-COVID, making it even more inviting. While you should expect a bit of a wait, the food is absolutely worth it. The menu is to die for, but the banana walnut pancakes deserve special mention.
They were fluffy, perfectly caramelized, and subtly nutty – the best I've ever had, period. The friendly, efficient service and the charm of its location on the J line at Church and 26th make it easy to see why Chloe's has been a neighborhood favorite for so long. If you're seeking a classic SF breakfast spot with soul, this is the place.

Greasy French Toast, Okay Service
My experience at the restaurant involved greasy French toast, which was a significant letdown. The portion of strawberries served with it was also described as a ridiculous amount. On the positive side, the service was okay.
However, it would be an improvement if they offered outdoor heaters for a more comfortable atmosphere.

Appalling Service, Disappointing Experience
My dining experience was the most appalling of my life. From arrival, it was a masterclass in rudeness and incompetence. The host was cold and dismissive, and the server was equally unfriendly.
The food was late beyond belief. We arrived at 11: 50 AM, waited 30 minutes, and were seated at 12: 20 PM. We ordered within 3-5 minutes, yet tables who ordered later were served, ate, paid, and left while we waited, hungry.
After checking three times, the host stated our order was taking time because it was for three people and then, when asked if she was doing us a favor, looked me in the eye and said, "YES. Don’t come next time. " The food finally arrived at 1: 05 PM, but the moment was so soured that even the first bite felt like a defeat.
This was disrespect served on a plate.

Horrible Service, Long Wait Times
My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing due to the horrible service. Many people left while waiting, and despite seeing good reviews on Google, we still waited. The host manager was rude and seemed unconcerned about our food.
We waited an hour to get our food, which is unacceptable. The host and servers are doing a huge disservice to the place.

Great Brunch Spot in Noe Valley
This is a nice cafe with lots of yummy brunch options. It offers outdoor seating and is very popular, which can make getting a table a bit of a challenge sometimes. It's likely one of the better spots left in Noe Valley for brunch, and you can always opt for take away if seating seems impossible.

Great Bagel Sandwich, Plan for a Wait
What was your experience at the restaurant? My experience at this great cafe was positive, despite a bit of a wait. The area has many strong options, and I visited on a trip to SF.
The entire menu looked tasty, and I decided on the bagel sandwich. For a party of 3, there was a bit of a wait to dine in, so it's advisable to plan ahead. However, the take-out window is a fantastic feature for those on the go.

Good food, mixed feelings
My experience at the restaurant was a mix. The service was good, and the breakfast burrito was really good. The home fries were also delicious.
However, I didn’t love the egg salad.

Delicious Food, Slow Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of delicious food and frustratingly slow service. My mom and I arrived for brunch around 12: 15 pm on a Sunday and waited about 15 minutes to be seated inside. We both ordered chai lattes and I opted for a create-your-own scramble with chicken apple sausage, spinach, and feta, served with mixed greens and fresh fruit.
My mom ordered the breakfast burrito with mixed greens. We encountered a ridiculously long wait for our drinks, which eventually arrived after 30 minutes in to-go cups because there were no clean mugs available. To add to the frustration, a person who arrived around the same time our drinks were served received their food before us.
Despite the service issues, the chai latte was good, and I absolutely loved my scramble! The side salads were surprisingly large, and the fresh fruit was delicious – possibly the best I've had at any SF brunch spot. However, due to the overall experience with the slow service, I don't see myself returning.

Decent Breakfast, Lacking Coffee
My experience at this restaurant involved trying the Florentine scramble, which I found to be good. It featured a generous amount of spinach and just the right amount of cheese. While the meal was good, it wasn't great.
The coffee was extremely watered down, which significantly detracted from the overall meal. On a positive note, the bread & butter was good. The service is good, but the seating is extremely limited inside.
Frankly, without good coffee, the meal was lacking a lot. I would recommend going there, but I'm sure there are better places. My honest take.
