Disappointing Gluten-Free Experience
I made a trip to this area of San Francisco on my last day in the city, specifically because their website mentioned having gluten-free sandwiches. However, after taking an Uber there, I was told they didn't have GF bread. The staff didn't seem to care either.
I ended up ordering a salad, which was okay, but it wasn't what I was looking for. If I had more time, I would have gone elsewhere. For a restaurant like this, it's crucial to ensure the website is current.

My experience at this restaurant was great for a quick snack/coffee or breakfast. It was conveniently located a quick walk from our hotel, and the sandwiches were amazing. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect 5-star rating.

Yummy Sandwiches and Adorable Decor
I visited the Painted Ladies and stumbled into this cafe. My experience was absolutely enjoyable. The sandwiches were so yummy, and the shop was decorated with lovely pictures of dogs and cats.
We absolutely enjoyed it.

Good Bagel, Over-Roasted Espresso
It's a nice place with an easy-going atmosphere, located a block away from the Painted Ladies. I stopped by for breakfast and had a tasty bagel and espresso. The bagel was super, but the espresso was robust and, to my taste, over-roasted.
Otherwise, no complaints.

Delicious Sandwiches, Friendly Service
My experience at the restaurant was very positive. I found the sandwiches to be very, very good, especially the one with pesto 😋. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the prices were reasonable.
The sandwiches themselves were quite imposing in size.

Hidden Gem with Delicious Sandwiches
The exterior doesn't necessarily do it justice, but what a wonderful discovery! We had sandwiches made fresh right in front of us, using fresh and high-quality ingredients. They offer different types of bread, and the Dutch Crunch Roll was excellent.
I also want to mention that there are clean restrooms, which isn't always the case. So, if you're near the Painted Ladies, this place is definitely worth the detour.

Great Neighborhood Spot for Sandwiches and Mochas
This place is a great addition to our neighborhood, offering great Mochas. Nelson and the ladies truly make you feel at home. It's a great spot for a sandwich and Mocha.

Good coffee, pricey toast
My experience at the restaurant was mixed. The coffee and bagel were good, but I found the price of a single slice of toast with butter to be $4. 50, which I considered quite crazy.
The service was excellent, rated 5/5, and the food received a 5/5. The atmosphere was rated 4/5, and it's wheelchair accessible with indoor dining. The noise level was moderate, and it was a breakfast meal.

Excellent Sandwiches, Great Value!
I didn't expect much from this place, but the sandwiches were EXCELLENT! I got a couple of smoked turkey on Dutch crunch and was really delighted. The bread was soft and fresh toasted, the meat and cheese were packed full of fresh veggies, and there was a perfect balance of sauces.
It was just really good and reasonably priced.

Amazing Sando and Iced Tea!
I was on Fillmore to pick up a Ganglyroost Flanderhopper from my old school pal Scooter Scrimticket because he's done with it, and I need it to control the infestation of Priggleback Wingstickers coming into my garden from old lady Humplestump's curly rutabaga patch. I drove by the Alamo Square Café on my way to Scooter's and remembered how great the food was the last time I was there, so here I am once again! I just had room for a sando and an iced tea, but Man-O-Man was that sando great.
It was Amazing! 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆
