Incredible Food, Service, and Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was truly incredible. The service was some of the best I've encountered in SF. The food was great, and the atmosphere was super romantic and cozy.
I highly recommend the Bistro Coq Au Vin.

Fantastic French Food for Special Occasions
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially for special occasions. The landaise (potatoes) were amazing, and all the food and wines were great. The atmosphere and service both received a perfect score of 5, with a moderate noise level.

Classic French with Excellent Service
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The food was a perfect blend of classic and inventive French cuisine. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, contributing to a wonderful dining experience.
I also appreciated the solid wine list. This is not just a place for special occasions; it's a spot where you can simply go and have a great meal.

Authentic French Bistro Gem
Having lived in France for five years, my standards for classic French bistro fare are impossibly high. This restaurant is so authentic, it feels like it was ripped straight out of Paris or Lyon. The wine list is impeccable, offering options at every price level.
The food is exquisite, complemented by attentive yet unobtrusive service. If you appreciate authentic, pan-regional French cuisine—the classics like bœuf bourguignon, truffle risotto, and perfectly delicate fried potatoes, rather than nouvelle cuisine—look no further. This will undoubtedly become your new favorite French bistro on the west coast, perhaps even in all of the United States, mes amis.

Terrific Food and Service, Warm Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive. The food was terrific, and the service was also excellent. However, the atmosphere inside was a bit too warm for my liking.
Despite this, I can't wait to go back!

French Bistro Factory Experience
My experience at this place was that it's a cute spot with decent food, though not exceptional. The main issue, leading to a one-star rating, is that it operates like a French-bistro-factory-mill. The staff aggressively pressures you to order starters and then rushes the meal, asking "Are you done with that?
" mid-bite. As soon as you finish eating, the check arrives, and you're quickly asked to leave because others are waiting for your table. I've never had a relaxed dinner here; it's the antithesis of French culture.
When this was brought up, the response was, "we tell you you only get 1’ 45” on OpenTable. " It feels like American capitalism has overshadowed French hospitality. As a European, I can say that if this were in France, it would be considered so rude that no one would return.

Beautifully Served Dinner with Allergy Accommodation
I joined 4 friends for dinner and we were not disappointed. The dinner, wine, and desserts were all beautifully served and prepared. They were very accommodating of my gluten allergy, preparing the Goat Cheese Salad without croutons and making helpful suggestions for entrées and desserts.
