Fantastic Birthday Dinner with Great Food and Service
I visit this restaurant every year for my birthday, traveling from out of town. The Kara-age chicken was fantastic, and my family all loved their meals. The staff has been fantastic every year. The atmosphere is pleasant with a nice breeze through the windows and a nice view, though construction can sometimes obstruct it. Overall, it's a great place.

Salty Broth Mistake and Gaslighting
I had high hopes for the ramen, but my experience was disappointing. I ordered the spicy broth wantan, but was given the salty broth instead. When I inquired about the broth, the waiter initially confirmed it was salty. However, when I explained I had ordered spicy, she insisted it was the spicy broth, despite her earlier statement. The restaurant should have corrected their mistake instead of making me feel gaslighted.

Disappointing Food and Service
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The food was bland, and the ramen was just not good at all. The service was odd, and it seemed like there were only two workers there the whole time. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Disappointing Food and High Price
My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing. The BBQ pork bun was served cold and lacked flavor, which I found generally unappetizing. The ramen was mediocre and not particularly memorable. I also felt like I developed a headache from MSG afterward. Considering the higher price compared to other nearby establishments, I suggest they work on improving the overall quality of their food.

Flavorless Food, Disappointing Experience
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. Both my friend and I found that the ramen bowls we ordered lacked any significant flavor in both the broth and the noodles. The portions of proteins, like pork or shrimp, were surprisingly small given the price. I also ordered a matcha latte, which was excessively sweet, tasting more like frosting than a traditional matcha. Unfortunately, I experienced an upset stomach afterward, which is unusual for me after eating this type of cuisine. Overall, the food was perplexingly flavorless. The service seemed somewhat scrambled, though it was generally fine. The seating arrangements were odd, with no tables for two, suggesting you'd likely share a table with another group. I would advise going elsewhere that offers better value for the price and isn't just a tourist trap.

Rude Service, Great Ramen Potential
My experience at this restaurant was cut short due to the rude person seating us. We decided to leave, which was a shame because I'd heard the ramen was good. The service was a significant issue, leading to our departure before we could even experience the food.

Friendly Staff, But Rice Needs Work
My experience at this restaurant was generally positive, thanks to the friendly staff and a clean store. The atmosphere was rated a 4, and the service also received a 4. However, the only aspect I was not satisfied with was the rice. It did not taste right for Japanese food and was a bit dry.

Disappointing Experience, Messy and Disorganized
I was very disappointed in my visit to this restaurant. First off, the employees were disorganized and got our order wrong even though we repeated it multiple times. The seating is strange since there’s no table for one or two; people with groups less than three end up taking space that could be used for a bigger group. You’ll most likely be sharing a table with strangers because of this. The plates don’t even match, it looks as if these people grabbed bowls from their own kitchen. The bathroom was dirty and it was clear how disorganized and messy this restaurant is. I would recommend going to a restaurant inside the Japan town mall if you’re looking for good ramen.

Yamadaya: A Disappointing Decline
Yamadaya used to be my go-to place for ramen. Unfortunately, the last three times I've visited, it has been a disappointment. Something has clearly changed, as the quality of ingredients has decreased and the service has worsened. I won't be returning.
