Good Hot Dog, But Pricey
I personally really liked my hot dog, but it's way too expensive for the quantities served. If you want to be full, you'll need to get at least two hot dogs.

Damn good hot dog, fast and friendly!
My experience was damn good! The hot dog was excellent, and the service was super fast and friendly. While indoor seating is limited, there's a parklet with outdoor tables available. It's a perfect option for those times you're running late and realize your next venue won't have food.

Better Than Costco Dogs, Worth the Price
My experience at this restaurant was great for a quick bite. It's conveniently close by and offers a superior alternative to Costco hot dogs. While it's a bit more expensive, the quality justifies the higher price.

West Coast Wiener Wonder!
Hot dog heaven in the Hayes District! If you think the best hot dogs are stuck somewhere in Chicago or New York, I’m here to tell you they’ve got some competition — right here in San Francisco’s Hayes District. Hayz Dog is a tiny spot with a big personality, and I’d put their dogs up against any west of the Mississippi. My personal go-to? The Bobo, dressed to impress with the usual crowd of condiments and my personal upgrades: perfect, meaty bacon (not thin bargain bin special or looking like it spent time in a microwave) and a punch of garlic. It’s a dog that shows up in style, strutting out on a bed of chips with a side of their special sauce. And yes — the $12–$15 price tag is a bargain for something this satisfying, especially when it’s ready in under five minutes. The menu is refreshingly simple. You won’t need a degree in decision-making — just enough options to keep every type of hot dog fan happy - a tip of the hat to their internationally inspired flavors. And if you like to customize, the condiment upgrades are the real deal. They don’t skimp, they don’t miss, and they turn a good dog into a great one. Inside, seating is cozy — we’re talking four people max — but that’s part of its charm. Outdoors, you’ve got more room via curbside seating, plus a TV usually playing soccer or a movie, so you can enjoy your meal with a little side entertainment. The staff keeps the vibe friendly and relaxed, greeting you with a warm “What can I get you, my friend? ” that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. Drinks? They’ve got a short but solid lineup: a couple of beers, some wine, and sodas to wash it all down. Simple. Straightforward. Satisfying. If you’re looking for a place where the food is fast, the prices are fair, and the hot dogs are unforgettable, Hayz Dog is your spot. Don’t just take my word for it — go grab a Bobo, add bacon and garlic, and taste why this little stand is serving up the real West Coast wiener wonder!

Best Chicago Dogs Outside Chicago!
My experience at Hayz Dog was exceptional. As a longtime Chicago resident, I can confidently say they serve better Chicago dogs than Chicago itself. The staff were great, the food selection was impressive, and the restrooms were clean and well-maintained for customers. I highly recommend trying their recommended dish, The Fluky.

Good food, but hotdog expectations unmet
My experience at the restaurant was decent, though perhaps my expectations for a hotdog were a bit too high. I was hoping for a nicely grilled bun and a hotdog with some charred lines 🥲. Despite this, the food was still good overall!

Authentic and Delicious Hot Dogs in SF!
This is a great place if you want to eat a real HOT DOG. It was generously topped, looked amazing, and was simply exquisite. The kitchen was also very clean, and there's a small outdoor terrace. It's a good time to be had with friends. I recommend it if you're passing through SF. Enjoy your meal!

Fantastic Dogs and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The dogs were amazing, and the young lady who served us was adorable with a wonderful smile. She recommended the mac and cheese dog, which was a great choice. My grandkids can't wait to return to this great place!

Epic Dirty Bird Dog Experience!
My experience at the restaurant was epic! I picked up the Dirty Bird Dog while waiting for my bike to be serviced. This limited edition hot dog is an all-beef frank loaded with three-cheese mac & cheese, ham, pickled pineapple, serranos, and a crispy Cool Ranch Doritos crumble. It's a bold flavor mashup with salty, spicy, creamy, and tangy notes all in one bite. What really impressed me was the flavor explosion; from gooey mac & cheese to zesty pineapple and spicy serranos, every mouthful was next-level. The thoughtful service was also a highlight, as they brought it out to me fresh and hot. This is a snappy crave factor, a limited-time genius that's inventive, indulgent, and totally worth it. If you're around Hayes Valley before the Dirty Bird Dog disappears (June 9–14), make a stop. It’s the kind of creative collab you don’t want to miss. Big thumbs up from me! 👍

Pleasantly Surprised by Vegan Hot Dog!
My experience at this restaurant was a pleasant surprise, as it was my first time trying a vegan hot dog. I was also delighted to find they offered vegan mayo. The staff were incredibly friendly, which added to the positive experience.
