Divine Seafood and Atmosphere!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I had some of the best seafood I've ever tasted. The clam chowder in the bread bowl was absolutely divine.
I truly loved this place!

My experience at this restaurant was very positive. I enjoyed the excellent sandwiches, particularly those with prawns, crab, or lobster. The location is beautiful, and the waiters were kind.

Guardinos: Out of this world food and service!
My girlfriend and I visited Guardinos for the first time on Sunday, June 22nd. We were thoroughly impressed with the experience. The food was absolutely out of this world, and the service was super and generous.
The atmosphere was perfect, making for a truly enjoyable evening. Guardinos is definitely the best on the block, and we will be going back. Our server, Justin, was excellent.
If you are in the San Francisco Area, definitely try Guardinos!

Delicious Seafood, Sadly Gone
We loved this place when they were open! The atmosphere was fantastic, with an outdoor display of fresh crabs and seafood, and a cooking area. Their small shop had a tiny seating area at the front, fitting about 6 people.
The food was exceptional. The Dungeness Crab was so delicious and fresh, cracked into pieces for easy enjoyment with drawn butter. It was worth every penny, though I didn't check the price.
The Clam Chowder was super yum, thick and creamy, served in a sourdough bread bowl or cup, and they even sold a canned version. The Calamari was crispy and savory, tasting even better at Fisherman's Wharf. The service was a bit chaotic due to how busy they were, but it was a friendly, market-style experience.
Overall, it was the best food and atmosphere on the Wharf, sadly now gone.

Friendly Staff, Mediocre Food
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The friendly staff and fun, street-side atmosphere were definite pluses. However, the food was just alright.
The main issue was the bread, which was mediocre at best. Additionally, the sandwiches all feature a base of "rock crab, " which is essentially a cheaper crab salad. For instance, the Dungeness crab sandwich was mostly rock crab with a bit of Dungeness crab on top.
While not bad, it wasn't the authentic, dock-side crab shack experience I was hoping for, especially considering the fillers.

Decent Crab Roll with Fresh Bun
My experience was with a waterside food stand. I really love my crab roll toasted, and while I might have been expecting too much, the portion was generous. With a squeeze of lemon, it was yummy.
It wasn't the worst crab roll I've had, but also not the best. The bun was verrrry fresh!

Classic Seafood with a Wharf View
My experience at Guardino’s at Fisherman’s Wharf was a delightful reminder of why San Francisco is a top spot for casual, flavorful seafood. Situated amidst the lively atmosphere of the Wharf, this food stand offers a satisfying taste of tradition, perfect for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic experience. The clam chowder bread bowl was a standout – rich, creamy, and comforting, with a perfect balance of seasoning and a velvety texture.
It was served in a warm, crusty sourdough bowl that held up well. This dish was filling, delicious, and surprisingly reasonably priced for the area. The Rock Crab & Shrimp Cocktail was another highlight for me; it's a personal favorite.
Served chilled and flavorful in generous portions, it was refreshingly light yet satisfying after a walk along the pier. For first-timers, I recommend snagging a seat near the serving station to minimize interruptions from seagulls. The customer service was excellent, with the staff being high-energy, friendly, and efficient, adding to the overall vibrancy.
Guardino’s is a must-visit for classic seafood with great flavor and an unbeatable Wharf atmosphere.

Amazing Food, Service, and Atmosphere!
My experience at this restaurant was truly amazing. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The spacious dining area is a huge help for families with kids, and the fact that the business has been open since 1908 speaks volumes about their quality. I would definitely come back here.

Crab Cocktail Lacked Freshness
My experience involved ordering a crab cocktail, which initially seemed reasonably priced. However, the taste suggested it wasn't very fresh, possibly prepared the night before and served quickly. It was also a bit underseasoned.
For my takeaway order, no salt and pepper were provided. I would have rated it 3. 5 stars, but as I only ordered one item, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt.
