Disappointing Zapatos, Okay Sandwiches and Tacos
My experience at this restaurant was largely negative, primarily due to the zapatos, which were bland beyond comprehension. I never imagined Mexican food could be so tasteless, but this place managed it. The fried chicken sandwich and veggie tacos, however, received decent reviews.
The service was below par; the waitstaff scoffed at us for trying to find a table for five and were impatient, even though there was no one waiting behind us. Overall, it was a 1/10 experience, and I will never be going back.

Incredible Food, Unprofessional Service
My experience at this restaurant was a tale of two halves. The food was truly extraordinary and incredible, coming out remarkably quick. However, the experience was significantly marred by the guy at the front desk, who was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional.
He seemed to lack empathy and humanity, highlighting a distinct absence of customer service. Despite the amazing food, his unprofessional attitude made me hesitant to return.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I highly recommend this place. The food is amazing, and the staff is super friendly, especially Victor at the front.
It’s the perfect spot to enjoy some tacos and a cold beer.

Hidden Gem for Rice-less Burritos!
I tried the cali steak zapato and I love it. Initially, I doubted I would like it, but I think this is one of the best rice less burritos in town. They have a large serving portion and the price is reasonable.
I think the place is popular with employees working nearby. For us, this is a very cool place to get food after a drink. The staff are accommodating and friendly.
The vibe of the place is retro and this kind of restaurant really gives you good vibes. I will try eating here again. :)

Unique Mexican Food Worth the Visit
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. I enjoyed the unique and inspired Mexican food, which is unlike anything else in the area. They also offer a good selection of beers.
The place is well worth the visit for its flavorful, unique offerings. The service was excellent (5/5) and the food was outstanding (5/5), contributing to a pleasant atmosphere.

Unique Dive Bar with Great Beer, Pricey Food
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of positive and negative. The staff were great, and the beer selection was impressive. I enjoyed the Zapatos, which were good and unique, though I suspect they were panini-pressed rather than grilled.
The tacos were also delicious. The decor felt like it was from another era, contributing to a dive bar atmosphere, and it was a bit dark. They now accept credit cards, which is a plus.
On the downside, the experience was a bit pricy, especially the tacos. While the beer prices were reasonable for the quality, the food prices felt a little high for what was offered. Despite the quality ingredients, there were some quality issues in the kitchen, such as problems with the fryer oil and general rushing.
A significant issue was that they started closing before their stated hours. I arrived at 7: 30 PM, and despite the restaurant being half full, they began closing at 8 PM, with the cashier leaving and cleaning starting, which ruined the ambiance, especially considering the price point. This led to people being turned away.
I would have stayed for another beer, but felt pressured and there was no one to assist me, causing the crowd to dwindle. Despite these issues, it's walkable from the Moscone and Oracle centers, making it a nice place to chill away from corporate events. The food was good, but the price didn't quite match the offering.
The decor celebrates old San Francisco and seemed clean in the dim lighting.

Closed Early, Missed Opportunity
My experience was that the restaurant was closed well before its stated hours, precisely when the nearby baseball game was letting out. It makes one wonder if they don't like to make money.

Great Food, Unique Taps, and Value!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. This place has been here forever and you can tell why. It's still super reasonably priced and the food is great.
They always have tasty and unique stuff on tap too. My go-to is the Surfer Leo, but every burrito I've had has been good, as are the nachos.

Fast Service, Good Food, Great Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was positive. I've visited twice and found the service to be fast. The food was good, with a steak burrito that had a good portion and flavor.
The atmosphere was great, featuring bench seating. It's worth noting to ask for lines and salsa as they might not be on the table. If you're on a lunch crunch, arrive a little early as there was a line before opening one time.

Fueling up in South Park!
My experience at this restaurant was a riot! I've explored all over South Park, but this is the best spot to fuel up. The burritos were tasty, savory, and muy caliente.
I also loved the decor on the walls, which was so sporkin' cool. I might have even added something to it myself when they weren't looking – after all, all press is good press. They were distracted for a while, so don't tell them, but I might have "borrowed" some ingredients on my little run.
Who's going to miss 200 lbs of beans, chicken, and Guac anyway?
