My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing. The sushi was below average, especially when compared to other establishments in the area. While the other dishes were average, the fried foods were particularly off-putting due to a wet batter in the center, making them feel slimy. The cocktails were creative, but the selection was limited. To top it off, the service was extremely slow.

During a busy week in San Francisco with a major tech conference, we visited Dragon Horse. While I understand they were likely slammed, the service was slow, with a 30-minute wait for drinks before our server realized they hadn't been ordered. I tried the Dragon Roll, highly recommended on Google reviews, and it was indeed delicious! I would definitely order that again. However, the overall experience was just okay. Given the slow service and the abundance of great sushi options in SF, I probably wouldn't return, though it might be better on a quieter night.

We ordered a cocktail and noticed the bartender was using Evan Williams whiskey for drinks that were clearly listed as using Whiskey Markers or Angels Envy, which is significantly more expensive. When we inquired, the bartender became defensive and aggressively remade the drink without allowing us to respond. Despite our request for him to de-escalate, he seemed to be having a bad night. The entire situation felt slimy, and we left, choosing to save our evening at Tempest down the street. We hope this isn't standard practice to cut corners and shortchange customers, as it certainly felt that way based on his reaction.
