Best South Asian Food in SF!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I found it to be the best South Asian food in SF. I highly recommend their Nepali dishes, specifically the Chili Momo and Thukpa. The Pani Puri was also a standout, as was the Biryani. The food quality was rated a 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere also received a 5 out of 5. Service was excellent, and there was no wait time.

Delicious Indian Food with Room for More
My husband and I shared the Samosa chaat as an appetizer, and it was so filling that it almost constituted a meal on its own! Despite that, we still ordered the gobi (cauliflower) manchurian, fulki pani puri, and tandoori style chicken momos. We ended up with leftovers, which was expected. We're eager to return and try the other four variations of momos they offer: steamed, pan-fried, jhol, and chili. The food was excellent, and the service and atmosphere were both rated a perfect 5 out of 5.

Kind Service, Disappointing Food
My experience at this restaurant was marked by incredibly kind servers and a nice atmosphere. However, the food was profoundly disappointing. While they were able to prepare a vegan thali, it was meager and the dishes were simply not very good. This is definitely NOT a thali to share; it was quite skimpy compared to others I've had in San Francisco. They did bring out one more small dish toward the end, seemingly because they felt bad, but it wasn't tasty. I would give this place a miss.

Best North Indian Food in California!
My experience at this restaurant was exceptional, offering the best North Indian food I've had in California. The Chicken Korma was truly out of this world, and the Mango Lassi was equally impressive – thick, homely, and incredibly fresh. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing Anniversary Dinner!
I found this restaurant by scrolling on Google Maps, and the amazing pictures convinced us to try it for our anniversary. As huge fans of Indian and Chinese food, we figured it would be perfect. Upon arrival, we were greeted by super friendly staff who set up a really nice spot for us. They even surprised us with complimentary champagne and a light-up sign to celebrate our anniversary. Based on the host's recommendation, we ordered the Manchurian Chicken (5+ stars, very good), the aloo tikki chaat (5 stars, unique and yummy), butter naan, the chicken momo jhol style (5++ stars, so so good, such a unique flavor), and the palak paneer (5 stars). We truly appreciated the kind staff and the wonderful chefs. We will definitely be back!

Bir Kitchen: Authentic Indian & Nepali Gem
My experience at Bir Kitchen on 24th Street in San Francisco’s Mission District was truly exceptional. This restaurant is a true gem, serving the best Indian and Nepali food with authentic flavors and generous portions. I particularly enjoyed the flavorful momos, crispy samosas, and fragrant biryani. The juicy tandoori chicken and sweet gulab jamun were also prepared to perfection. If you're searching for the top restaurant on 24th Street San Francisco for an authentic, delicious, and unforgettable dining experience, Bir Kitchen is an absolute must-visit.

Mixed Biryani Experience, Recommend Chole Bhatura
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. On my first visit, I ordered the Hyderabadi style biryani and found it to be good. I also highly recommend the Chole Bhatura from my first order. My second visit involved trying different options. While the Shahi chicken biryani is good and recommended, I was disappointed with the egg chowmein, which was not great. The goat roast biriyani was just okay, mediocre, and definitely not as good as the Shahi chicken biryani. Overall, my second experience was not as enjoyable as the first.

Exceptional Desi Food Experience
My experience at this restaurant has been outstanding, making it the best place for anyone who appreciates great Desi food. I've been a patron since shortly after they opened, dining in about five times and ordering takeout four times. The culinary skill here is truly impressive. My favorite dishes include the Non-Veg platter, featuring the most tender Tandoori Chicken I've ever had, comparable to a legendary spot in Pakistan. The Chicken Manchurian is a perfectly executed classic Indo-Chinese fusion with crispy chicken in a tangy, savory sauce. The Chili Momo, with its juicy, herbaceous chicken filling and flavorful garlic onion and bell pepper sauce, is also a standout. The Fried fish appetizer, topped with minced fried red onions, is incredibly delicious. For main courses, the Butter Chicken is a must-try, with its rich flavor, evident ghee and cream, and incredibly tender chicken, served in copper dishes with fluffy basmati rice. The Chicken Lababdar is a rare Mughlai dish that is a must-try, boasting tender chicken in an incredible cashew, ghee, and cream sauce – it's a dish we always order. The breads are also excellent; the fluffy Garlic Naan is topped with ghee and has whole fennel seeds in the dough, while the Chapati is soft and delicious. For dessert, the Gulab Jamun, served warm, is the best I've had, with layers of flavor and an aromatic syrup. The Mango Lassi is great, made with fresh mango. All the chutneys and sauces are substantial, super fresh, and aromatic. With a Food score of 5, Service score of 5, and Atmosphere score of 5, this restaurant offers a truly exceptional dining experience.

Delicious Nepalese & Indian Food
My experience at this restaurant, tucked away in the Mission District, was wonderful. It's a beautiful establishment serving authentic Nepalese and Indian food. Everything is freshly cooked, with no cold storage. The food was very, very delicious, and the staff was really cooperative.

Excellent Indian/Nepalese Flavors
This was my second time dining at the restaurant, and the food was truly exceptional. The flavors were more complex than what you'd typically find in standard Indian or Nepalese cuisine. I highly recommend this place!
