Proposition Chicken - Reviews

My experience at Proposition Chicken was largely negative due to the drastically overpriced and skimpy portions. I ordered the chicken sandwich, expecting identifiable pieces of chicken. Instead, it was a chunky spread, similar to chicken salad, mixed with slaw and other low-cost ingredients. The sandwich was garnished with potato chips, which felt like a low-effort attempt to add value. Compared to other establishments like Chicken G's on Kearney, where the chicken is significantly larger than the bun, the portion sizing here is absolutely ridiculous. I regret not requesting a refund before eating it. While the employee was incredibly friendly, the food itself was not enjoyable.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The chicken sando was a bomb, and the 3 piece fried chicken was also bomb. If you're looking for a good crunch on your chicken, this is a great place. They offer tons of options for sauce, and the sage fries are definitely the way to go. The employees were super accommodating!

I received excellent advice on my selection, and the restaurant itself is extremely clean. The food was also prepared very quickly. If I lived here, I would exclusively dine at this restaurant.

I've tried ordering to go both online and in person, and the pick up process is very inconsistent. They have a dedicated window for pick up orders, but half the time they aren't using it, requiring me to go inside. Sometimes my entree comes in a paper bag, and other times it's just handed to me. It's frustrating to see so many staff members, yet still find it difficult to get assistance with my order. The estimated pick up times are often inaccurate, either underestimated or overestimated, leading to the food being ready early or sitting there for a while. Additionally, some of the staff working the front cash registers near closing time could be friendlier.

This is an amazing addition to West Portal. I absolutely loved the fried chicken. The bone broth was divine, and it was really smart to season the fresh chips with sage. The hot sauces were also great! I left very satisfied, and the price certainly helped. I plan to be a regular here.

This morning, I visited this location for breakfast and had a truly yummy and delicious experience. We ordered a fried breakfast sandwich and a flipped breakfast sandwich, accompanied by a side of wedges. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and great. We will definitely be returning.
