My experience at this restaurant was GREAT! I found it to be an affordable dim sum spot with very traditional authentic HK-style flavor. The shrimp and pork dumplings had an UNBELIEVABLE crisp, snappy texture, and their deep-fried items were AMAZING! I highly recommend trying their sticky rice 'zong' and 'lo mai gai' as these leaf-wrapped entrees offer good solid value, especially if you're dining on a budget. The service was EXCELLENT; the Chinese staff were very nice and friendly. Although their English is somewhat decent/limited, their communication skills are GREAT, and I've seen many foreigners and tourists order without any problems or hassles, always leaving with smiles! The prices are pretty fair and reasonable, offering honest-sized food portions with INCREDIBLE taste and AWESOME quality. The only negative is that there is NO seating room available, making it pure 100% TAKE-OUT only. It's also CA$H only! This is my #1 favorite go-to dim sum takeout spot in SF Chinatown! 🤘😁👍

I used to love their mochi and would always get it every time I was in Chinatown. However, I recently found a plastic strip in the mochi, which was pretty gross and disappointing. I'm flagging this for better quality assurance, hoping they see this and improve.

This is a grab-and-go spot where freshly made items are constantly replenished and go quickly. It has an "if you know, you know" vibe, but the staff is helpful and speaks English. For vegetarians, there are options like soy sauce noodles, spring rolls, and braised tofu. The custard version of the dessert is also worth trying if you eat eggs. They offer a regular and a spicier jalapeño version of the green pepper stuffed with shrimp. Just a note, it's cash only!

My experience at this restaurant was great! I enjoyed their nice economy rice. The braised chicken feet were so good that we ordered them three times in two days. The staff were generally friendly, and I also liked their Chinese snacks like the bun and egg tart. The restaurant has a very small dine-in area, with only three tables that can accommodate about 6 people in total.

I was searching for the fried taro dim sum dumplings at multiple dim sum shops on Stockton. This shop had a pre-made serving of 3 pieces on display. Yes, it was cold (probably made that morning?). However, it was exactly what I was looking for! I'll have to visit another time to try a few other items.

This was my first visit to New Moon Restaurant, and I was very impressed. The service was excellent, the food quality was high, and the price was the cheapest in the area. The owner's wife was incredibly honest and friendly; she even returned money I had accidentally overpaid. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

My experience at this restaurant has been consistently positive over several visits. I've found the staff to be helpful, and I haven't encountered any negative attitudes. A key point to note is that popular items can sell out towards the end of the day. They offer a unique single-serving rice pudding "cake" made with brown sugar, which is a rare find and a definite highlight.

I visited this restaurant yesterday, November 26, 2023. My experience was largely negative due to the rude cashier who lacked manners and business understanding. The food quality was also disappointing; the shrimp cake only contained two pieces of shrimp per cake, which was not as expected.

My experience at this Chinese butcher's shop was for takeout only, as in-house dining is no longer an option. However, I was still able to purchase tasty food from them.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, offering some of the best tasting to-go dim sum I've found in Chinatown. They have a very good selection of dim sum items and hot food. The staff were friendly and efficient.
