Terrible Service Ruined Mediocre Meal
My experience at this restaurant was largely negative due to the terrible service. The food was only mediocre. The most upsetting part was the waitress's reaction to my tip; she explicitly asked me to increase it from 15% to at least 18% after seeing my written amount. This interaction has ensured I will never go to this place again.

Great Food, Cultural Vibe, Needs Cleaner Restrooms
My experience at the restaurant was largely positive. The staff ensured all our drink requests were accommodated, which was awesome! The food was good, and the vibe was very cultural, which is great! However, the restrooms need to be cleaned more often. Overall, the experience was good!

Fantastic Food and Atmosphere!
My experience at this family restaurant was truly wonderful. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was fabulous. While the furniture might be a bit old school, don't let that deter you from enjoying the overall experience.

Great Veggie and Meat Options
My experience at the restaurant was great. They offer a wide variety of veggie and tofu options, which is fantastic for vegetarians. My husband also enjoyed the lots of meat options. The food and service were both excellent.

Delicious Food, Challenging Ordering Experience
As three "old lady gringos, " we had a tough time ordering because it seemed like only Asian people go there. However, everything we ordered was delicious; our food sure was! I suspect everything on the menu is delicious.

Good Dim Sum, Chinese Speaking Recommended
My experience at this restaurant was good for dim sum and tea. The Ha Gow (Shrimp dumpling), Siu Mai (Pork dumpling), and Pai Gwat (spare ribs) were all good. If you are comfortable ordering in Chinese, you’ll enjoy the spot as the language spoken and menu are both Chinese. The Shanghai dumpling was just okay, with the dumpling skin being a bit too thick. The WiFi here works too. Our 4 dishes plus tea for two people was about $20 total.

Hidden Gem: Best Casserole Rice Pot
This place should never get a 5-star rating, but I want to skew it up. I almost turned back and ran away when I walked into a totally empty dining hall. The place is old, dirty, and poorly managed. However, I was told this place has great food, particularly the casserole rice pot. I ordered two: the eel rice pot and the Chinese sausage and pork ribs pot. These were genuinely the best rice pots I have ever tasted outside of Hong Kong; the eel pot was even better than those in HK. This is not a restaurant for everyone, but if you are a Chinese foodie, you'd know how hard it is to make a perfect rice pot. It's cooked in a ceramic pot from scratch, not like other places that heat cooked rice. It's not expensive but requires a lot of attention and time. Restaurants don't like to make it, and even if they do, it's not easy to make it right. The burnt rice at the bottom must be crunchy and crackling, and the rice needs to be done right – moist and fragrant, but not saucy or oily. Man, this place delivered on every mark! Even on a slow day, with an empty dining hall and a dilapidated place, they still put a lot of respect and love into the food they make. I know this place can get busy in the afternoon for dim sum, it is Chinatown after all. But they deserve a little shout-out and a little better business in the evening. I hope this review would help them. If you find this review useful and truthful to their rice pot, please give it a like. Hopefully, more people will see it.

Authentic Food, Communication Challenges
My experience at this restaurant was marked by truly authentic and delicious food. Several dishes really stood out, including their duck, fish, pepper ribs, and chicken. However, communication with the servers was a challenge as they were not very conversant in English.

Unpleasant Experience with Billing and Service
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. While the food was acceptable, the environment was untidy and the staff was not nice at all. The situation worsened significantly when they calculated their tips by themselves. Upon questioning this, as we wanted to pay less for some reasons, they started acting as if they didn't speak English. The worst part was realizing they charged the amount twice!

Great Food, Tricky Communication
Came in here by chance. The food was great and communication in English was complicated but friendly and manageable. The food was very good! Definitely better than its current 3. X rating.
