  • Delicious, healthy food
  • Great value meals

What people don't like
  • Unsafe, dirty environment
  • Disorganized order handling
  • Aggressive delivery drivers

SoMa presents a clear trade-off: you can expect satisfying, well-priced food, especially for a quick pickup. It’s a practical choice if your priority is a convenient meal and you’re not concerned with the surrounding environment or potential service hiccups.

However, with a recommendation score of just 4.9, it’s difficult to wholeheartedly suggest SoMa for a pleasant dining experience. If a comfortable atmosphere and smooth operations are important to you, you might find this spot disappointing.

Disappointing Atmosphere, Decent Food
My experience was not what I expected at all. Although it's described as a food court, it's essentially just a window with lockers, primarily serving food delivery drivers. The exterior and the alley in front appeared quite dirty, though the area behind the window where the food originates seemed clean. The food itself was pretty good. Since there's no seating, this place is only suitable for delivery orders.

Sketchy Place, Mediocre Food
My experience at this restaurant was quite negative. The place felt super sketchy, especially at night. Inside, the floor was littered with trash, which is a major cleanliness issue. The service was little to be desired. While they have a couple of good establishments, most of the food is mediocre at best.

Sketchy Ghost Kitchen Experience
My experience was with a sketchy ghost kitchen that operates out of a single window. This establishment handles food for over 50 ghost restaurants registered at the same address on delivery apps. The area was filled with a dozen delivery drivers, creating an atmosphere that felt very unsafe due to their rude and aggressive behavior. Some drivers were even observed sleeping and urinating on the streets.

Serious Concerns at Soma Food Court
My experience at Soma Food Court was concerning. The entire sidewalk reeks of urine, and it's common to see delivery drivers urinating, sitting, or even lying down on the sidewalk. There is a clear lack of organization in how orders are handled and collected. The overall environment raises concerns about sanitation and cleanliness.

Avoid SomA Food Court Evenings
I strongly advise avoiding SomA Food Court in the evenings. The area becomes extremely unsafe due to dozens of DoorDash delivery drivers illegally parking and loitering, making the streets impassable. I was harassed and forced to reverse down the road just for driving correctly. It’s a chaotic mess every night, with no control or enforcement. Until something is done to fix this dangerous situation, I would recommend staying far away, especially after dark.
