Value (5 out of 10)

mentioned by 24% of the guests

Lets talk value! While the overall customer satisfaction sits at a rather low 36.8%, and the score is an average 5, there are still some bright spots. Many diners appreciate the loyalty program and finding genuinely cheap eats that offer an awesome value for the food.

With 7 positive comments out of 19 total, some feel they get a good amount for the price, especially considering the neighborhood. However, the conversation around value isnt all sunshine. A significant number of guests, reflected in 9 negative comments, feel the price is too high, leading to a sense of wasted expense.

Specific issues like charges for extra hummus and a surprising SF mandate fee contribute to a poor price-performance ratio, leaving many feeling that what they receive simply isn't worth the cost.

Disappointing Wait and Unavailable Chicken
My experience at the restaurant was quite frustrating. I placed an order at 12: 28 pm, but ended up waiting until 12: 50 pm. At that point, I was informed that there was no chicken available for the souvlaki plate and it would take another 10 minutes. This was a significant delay and inconvenience.

Disappointing Portion Sizes and Quality
Over the past few months, I've noticed a significant decline in how the restaurant treats the vegetables in their gyro bowls. They've started treating them more like garnishes than a substantial part of the meal. Even when I specifically pay extra for more cucumbers and tomatoes and leave a note requesting them, I receive at most three half-slices of each, and even those are very small, as if they're using mini cucumbers. There was a time when they used to be generous with the vegetables. I'm unsure if business is slow, but I'm done spending $20 for a bowl that primarily consists of rice, lettuce, and chicken, especially since they sometimes even forget to include the rice. The food quality has suffered, and the portion sizes are now inadequate.

Terrible Experience: Wrong Order and Plastic in Food
As a regular customer for over a year, my recent experience was incredibly disappointing. I received an order that was completely wrong; instead of chicken, I was given what I suspect was either lamb or beef, and it was almost raw. After getting the order changed, the second order contained a black plastic piece, which was truly disheartening to find in my food. I will absolutely never return.

Gyro was just okay, fries were fine
My experience at the restaurant was mixed. The Gyro was just okay; it felt like it had been cooked some time ago and kept warm. The fries were fine. The price was normal for SF.

Great Gyro, Loud Music
I came here because it was close to my home and was recommended the beef and lamb gyro. The gyro was indeed great, with a perfect portion size, plenty of fillings, and a crunchy and savory texture. I also appreciated the quick service and how easy it was to find seating. However, the music was super loud, which detracted from the overall experience as it felt like a more casual place. Overall, this was a quick pit stop, and I would return for another gyro craving.
