Value (3.9 out of 10)

mentioned by 31% of the guests

When it comes to value, this spot seems to be a bit of a mixed bag, leaning heavily towards the ouch side. With a low score of just 3.9 and customer satisfaction at a mere 13%, its clear that many feel the price doesnt quite match up. However, a few of the 46 comments did highlight some positives, particularly around the happy hour deals, with some finding the price justified for the quality, especially for the $2 oyster happy hour which was called a steal.

On the flip side, the overwhelming sentiment from 31 negative comments points to significant concerns. Many found the overall pricing to be overpriced for the portion sizes, leading to customers leaving hungry. The automatic gratuity or service charge was also a frequent dealbreaker, with guests feeling it contributed to poor value and an unnecessarily high bill.

Charming spot for Prosecco and conversation
My husband and I were on Fillmore doing some shopping for my birthday and decided to stop for a glass of Prosecco to add some pizazz to our shopping experience. It was a great spot! The décor was super cute, somehow simultaneously elevated and laid-back. We had a great time talking with the server, and she told us some spots to check out nearby. We would totally come again next time we're in SF!

Charming Seafood with Must-Try Oysters
My experience at Little Shucker was delightful. It's a charming seafood spot with a cozy, comfortable vibe. The baked oysters and the whole roasted fish were absolute must-orders—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I appreciated that the sauce was served on the side. The Big Shucker platter was impressive in presentation and fun to share, making it a highlight. However, the crab cake was the least memorable dish for me.

Mixed Experience: Good Vibe, Uneven Food & Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of highs and lows. The atmosphere and vibe were definitely a highlight, described as cheerful, fun, and easy-going. The prawn cocktail was also a standout, truly a bright spot in the meal. However, the oysters were unspectacular, with some pieces tasting a bit fishy, suggesting they might not have been super fresh. While the service was friendly, I felt the staff could have been more attentive, particularly as the crowd thinned out towards the end. An instance where a guest was sharply told "it's already in the roll" when asking for butter for his crab roll, even from two tables away, conveyed an unfriendly attitude. Additionally, waiting more than 5 minutes for a check after requesting it, without any apparent extenuating circumstances, was also a drawback.
