With 4 positive remarks out of 18 total, guests appreciated things like comped bar tabs, fantastic happy hour deals, and even half-price bottles of wine on certain nights. Beautiful Atmosphere, Mediocre Food
My experience at this restaurant was marked by its beautiful restaurant and classic atmosphere, which I rated a 5 out of 5. The service was good, also receiving a 5-star rating. However, the food, rated a 3 out of 5, was not impressive enough to justify the price and small portions. While I wouldn't return for the food, I would come back for the atmosphere.

Delicious Classic French Food
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive, with delicious, classic French food. The pacing of the meal was excellent, allowing ample time for cocktails, appetizers, and then main courses. While the overall service was great, there was one waiter who was an exception. The atmosphere was also a highlight, rated at a 5.

Exceptional French Dining Experience
My dinner at Le Central was a traditional, slow-paced French meal that lasted almost two hours. For my appetizer, I had the smoked salmon petit tartine, which I rated a 7 out of 10. The Stephane Magnien Pinot wine was an excellent pairing, earning an 8 out of 10. My main course, the pan-roasted Atlantic salmon with pommes purée, braised fennel, and citrus beurre blanc, was an easy 8 out of 10. The duck confit with risotto and broccolini was an absolute standout, a perfect 10 out of 10! For dessert, both the Creme Brulee and chocolate mousse were good, scoring a 7 out of 10. While they didn't 'knock our socks off, ' they were a satisfying end to the meal. My dining companion, a former food magazine editor with extensive experience eating in France, declared the dinner equal to anything she's had in Europe. This restaurant will definitely be added to my regular rotation for future San Francisco trips.

My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed the happy hour deviled eggs, and our dinners were equally impressive, especially the sole with capers, green beans and potatoes. The salads were amazing, and the service was incredibly friendly. Overall, a great dining experience.
