Great Polish Deli, Pierogi Disappointing
My experience at George's was largely positive, with some specific areas for improvement. I found the sandwiches to be fantastic, particularly the fresh kielbasa and smoked kielbasa, which were absolutely yummy! I consider this the best Polish deli in Seattle. However, I was not impressed with the pierogi's. They are brought in from Chicago, and my preference is for pierogi's with a thin pasta wrapping the stuffing, whereas these were more thick and doughy. I tried all the types, and my favorite was the sauerkraut with mushroom, but I still didn't love them. Additionally, I tried all the bottled horseradish, and sadly, none had much kick. Growing up where my Gram made pierogi's and found a very hot horseradish sauce, it's disappointing. In truth, I haven't found a hot horseradish in years, so it might be an issue with the horseradish being grown. Regardless, George's is awesome! The staff are super helpful and the food is delicious.

Top 5 Reuben in America!
I can hardly read past the word “Reuben” when I see it on a menu. I try, but my eyes keep darting back. I’ve tried hundreds, in states all over America. This is solidly in my top five. The quality of ingredients, fresh (not greasy), portioning, assembly, the way it all flavors together…George nailed it. Wandered in the other day to see what it’s all about. How long have I lived in Seattle, and this is my first time here! ? I’ll be back.
