Impressive Dim Sum, Worth the Trip
I arrived at 9: 30 AM, right at opening, and was treated to some of the best dim sum I've ever had. This is high praise coming from someone who grew up going to Flushing in Queens, NY. I was beyond impressed and would definitely return to try other delicious dishes. I'm almost hesitant to share this review, as I'd prefer to keep this gem to myself and let the regulars enjoy their routine undisturbed.

Authentic Chinatown Dim Sum Gem
My experience at Dol Ho was like stepping back in time to old-school San Francisco dim sum, done right. Tucked away in Chinatown since the 1970s, this family-run spot offers authentic Cantonese flavors without any fuss. The chicken paws were a standout, braised beautifully with a silky texture and a deep, savory taste. The dumplings were expertly crafted, featuring delicate skins and generous fillings – true craftsmanship on a plate. I also enjoyed the ribs over rice, which were tender, juicy, and infused the rice with incredible flavor. It’s a rustic, authentic experience that remains spot-on after decades. This Chinatown institution is still doing it right.

Cheap Eats with a Downside
My experience at this restaurant was that it's a very run-down place, but it's cheap, so you get what you pay for. The old Chinese ladies were nice, and I liked the tea. The atmosphere was not great, scoring a 2, but the food was decent at a 3. The service received a 4, and there was no wait time.

Great Food, Fast Service, Big Portions
My experience at this restaurant was characterized by cheap prices and big portions, offering good flavors. I highly recommend the spare ribs over rice, shrimp dumplings, and the fried shrimp ball. It's a "cafeteria" style establishment that was very full when I visited. While there might be a wait for tea and table cleaning, the food came out really fast.

Authentic Dim Sum Gem in London!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I found the dim sum to be authentic, with great portions served at great prices. The turnip cake was particularly delicious. The staff were welcoming, in a loud, typical Cantonese aunt kind of way. There's truly no place like this in London! I would recommend it if you're around town.
