Disappointing Portion Sizes and Hidden Food
I used to like coming here, but my recent experience was disappointing. The last part of the serving area now has a metal wall blocking the view of the food. This left me wondering what was even there and in what condition the food was – was it wilty or brown? I also had a suspicion that they wouldn't serve much, and sure enough, a mostly empty plate was passed to the cashier. This was supposed to be a Taco Salad, but it was significantly smaller than what most places offer for a much lower price. While I understand prices can be high, a Taco Salad should be filled with salad. I question how much salad and salsa can cost. Although this is a lower-priced establishment, it's not a good value if you need to buy a second meal. It's a shame, as this is the main Taqueria in Noe, and the Mission is right down the street.

Disappointing Salsa Policy
I’ve been here for lunch countless times and I always wonder…what Mexican spots similar to this space REFUSE to have salsa bars? They literally wanted to charge me for more salsa. Forget the radish, cilantro, jalapeños, onions, etc. Options at a salsa bar—just salsa, and you needed to request it from the cashier. The third 1 ounce plastic ramekin… ‘sure, but there’s a cost for that. ’ This place is simply ripping off the neighborhood and their clientele. Would be nice if they paid their employees prevailing wages, but putting up with this nonsense post-COVID, I’ve also learned that isn’t the case, sadly. Please do better.

Friendly Staff, Great Value Burritos
I make the effort to travel 30 minutes to come here regularly because the staff is incredibly friendly. The service is so efficient that from getting in line to eating, it's usually under 5 minutes, which is impressive. The prices are very reasonable, a major reason for my repeat visits. Their Azteca burrito is substantial enough to satisfy my cravings, even for someone who eats a lot for their size. The TVs often show sports, adding to the entertainment while enjoying the food. It was nice to see the staff interacting warmly with other regulars, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere that enhances the taste of the food. I wish they'd open a second location closer to me, though my wallet might suffer! Kudos to everyone involved, from management to the cooks and cashiers.
