Exceptional Steakhouse Experience
We celebrated Christmas at The Charcoal Room, Santa Fé Casino, and it was a fantastic experience that lived up to the hype. The restaurant truly captures the classy steakhouse vibe with its dim lighting, fireplace, bar, dark wood paneling, and comfortable leather booths. Our server, Justin, was exceptional! He was knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent beverage recommendations (pomegranate martinis), and was attentive without being overbearing. The food was outstanding for the most part. We started with the chilled oysters and lobster, which were fresh and perfectly presented. For our main course, my husband and mother-in-law had the filet mignon; both were cooked to a perfect medium-rare and were incredibly flavorful and tender. The creamy whipped potatoes were a highlight, too. The shishito peppers were a new delightful touch to our steakhouse dinner.

Excellent Christmas Eve Dinner with Outstanding Service
My experience at the restaurant for an early Christmas Eve dinner was very enjoyable. From the hostess, to the bartender, and the bus service, everyone was great. However, Justin truly stood out as our server. He provided the best welcoming service and offered great recommendations. It took a moment to realize how fortunate we were to have him, especially after reading many positive reviews about him. The Surf and Turf special was excellent. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

Great Food, Slow Service
I loved the food, it was a 5 out of 5! However, the restaurant was really crowded, which led to a high noise level and slow service. The atmosphere was rated a 4 out of 5.

Exceptional Experience, Better Than T-Bones!
Our experience was fantastic, even better than T-bones! The atmosphere was more quiet and intimate, and the food quality surpassed our expectations. We consistently have great servers, and Justin, who usually takes care of us, truly loves his job, which really shines through. The runners and assistants are very communicative and ensure everything runs smoothly. We recently ordered two surf and turfs. I like my steak well-done, and my wife is pescatarian. I ordered both steaks super well-done, expecting them to take a while. Manager Tania and Justin went above and beyond to make sure we didn't feel forgotten, even though we weren't concerned. My wife's lobster tails were perfectly timed with the steaks and were delicious. My steaks were perfect. Everyone there always treats us like VIPs. We are looking forward to NYE and this place is always our first choice for special occasions.
