Delicious Tacos and Friendly Service
This is a great place! Even though it's casual dining, the food is incredibly delicious. My favorite dish was the quesabirria tacos – truly some of the best I've ever had. We also enjoyed a steak quesadilla, chips and guacamole, and a horchata, which was very sweet. Be aware that the portion sizes are quite big. The staff were all friendly, and we had a great time. Thank you!

Filthy Restaurant, Avoid At All Costs
My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly negative due to the extreme lack of cleanliness. Every table we tried to sit at was disgusting, covered with the previous customers' leftovers, sauces, and tortillas. The floors were equally filthy. I also have serious doubts about the hygiene of their utensils, questioning if they are even properly washed. The food was mediocre, and it seems the establishment needs guidance from the health department. I've heard negative stories about their adherence to regulations during the pandemic, and my experience confirmed this lack of hygiene. The workers appeared apathetic and lazy. In contrast, Colibre in the Presidio offers an elegant dining experience with similar prices, but with impeccable cleanliness. I was completely grossed out by our dirty tables and will never return.

Perfect Relleno, Disappointing Beans
I admit I went looking for something not on the menu, and when I saw the place, I chickened out at asking. It was busy, which is normally a good sign, except when you're trying to bend the rules. My Google search suggested I could get chili relleno burritos there, but they weren't on the menu. The chili relleno plate looked good and was reasonably priced, so I ordered that. The relleno itself was perfect. The sauce, the consistency of the egg coating, and the charring of the chili were all spot on. However, the beans that came with the order were creamed, which I dislike immensely. The rice was seasoned nicely but was pretty unremarkable otherwise. The ambiance was that of a sports bar, with tall, narrow tables and barstools. So, if a sports bar with excellent Mexican food (except for the creamed beans – I just can't) is what you're looking for, you might give Taqueria Los Mayas 5 stars. I would certainly eat there again, BUT I'll ask if they'll make me chili relleno burritos first.

My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I tried the plantain burrito with vegetables, and it was truly an amazing meal. The burrito was incredibly filling, providing enough sustenance to keep me full for the entire day.
