Cute Atmosphere, But Service Issues
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The atmosphere was cute and there was a good variety of choices. The fish was fresh, but some pieces had odd pairings, and I found there weren't a lot of traditional nigiri options like I expect at conveyor belt sushi. The biggest problem was the service and timing of everything. We arrived right when it opened at noon and immediately ordered about 10 dishes, all raw sushi and nothing complicated. I had a little over an hour before an appointment and figured it would be no problem since conveyor belt sushi is meant to be fast. I was wrong; I had to leave at the last minute and was still missing 3 of the dishes we ordered. The hostess kindly removed those dishes from our check, but it was unfortunate to leave still hungry!

Disappointing Conveyor Belt Sushi Experience
My experience at this restaurant was not great. I was recommended this place as a "conveyor belt sushi" with a "bullet train" by an influencer. Unfortunately, the sushi was just okay, and even after placing large orders, the wait time was enormously long. I was under the impression that with "conveyor belt" sushi, the dishes would keep coming, but that was not the case. Additionally, most rolls were priced at $5 for only 4 pieces and were excessively full of rice. The tacos were an interesting idea but ultimately did not fulfill expectations. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Solid Mid-Tier Sushi Experience
Truly wonderful Kouyou has landed in Queen Anne. It's an amazing spot 🤌 I go frequently and can’t recommend enough! The train experience is fun and the price is right. It’s not top-shelf sushi and it’s not supposed to be. Either way, it’s a sold mid tier. For $30 a head you can eat a lot of food! It's a quantity play to be sure. Go to Shiros or otherwise if you want luxury.
