Excellent Brunch Experience!
We visited for Saturday brunch as a party of 8. The restaurant was incredibly accommodating and nice. We informed them about our food allergies, and they were very accommodating. The food and service were both excellent. The atmosphere was rated 5/5, service 5/5, and food 5/5. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk. We would 11/10 recommend this place.

A True Seattle Institution
This place really hit the spot, offering a welcome alternative to the often overpriced, vibe-driven counter-service burger joints that characterize Seattle's restaurant scene. If you're looking for a sit-down meal with a real plate, knife, and fork, this is the place to go. I've heard it's an institution, and that reputation is well-deserved. Just be mindful of the parking situation; the lot is oddly shaped with a single-lane entrance/exit, and finding parking can be somewhat difficult.

Delicious Mediterranean Omelet and Fantastic Service
While on a walk in Wallingford, I discovered the Varsity Inn in the south end of the neighborhood. Intrigued by the “espresso” sign outside, I decided to settle in and explore the menu for lunch. The server recommended the Mediterranean Omelet, a dish made with eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, feta cheese, onions, and olives, served with hashbrowns and toast. The food arrived quickly, and I was impressed by the generous portion size, exclaiming, “wow that is huge, it is way too much food! ” The food was absolutely delicious! The combination of ingredients was well-balanced and flavorful. The hashbrowns were perfectly cooked, and the service was fantastic!

Mixed Feelings: Great Staff, Mediocre Food
My first time here was a mixed experience. The staff was great, providing excellent service. However, the food was mediocre. While it came out fast, the hashbrowns lacked crispness and seasoning, and the toast was barely toasted. My over medium eggs were a bit overcooked. My son enjoyed his French toast, and the bacon was okay.
