Wonton Soup Disappointment
My experience at Fung Wong Restaurant on Noriega Street, San Francisco, Ca 94122 on Thursday, September 4, 2025, was a significant disappointment. My sister and I ordered the wonton fun soup, and it was the worst wonton we have ever eaten. The wontons were not fresh and were overcooked, resulting in them being dry, hard, and chewy, with rubbery, tough shrimp. I suspect the meat was nearing spoilage. This was a stark contrast to our visit two weeks prior, on August 27, 2025, when I ordered the same wonton fun soup. My sister enjoyed it so much that we returned for more. On that occasion, the wontons were juicy, tender, and delicious – truly the best wonton soup. Unfortunately, my brother and sister-in-law also shared the same disappointment with their wonton noodle soup during this recent visit.
