How are the prices at Tiya?

On average, you’ll spend around 86 per person here, based on what 107 guests reported. That places it in the $81–$90 category. For an Indian Restaurant, especially in San Francisco, that’s certainly on the higher-end.

Interestingly, while the average is 86, a good chunk of diners are actually spending even more, leaning towards a premium experience rather than just a quick bite.

Here’s a quick look at what guests spend per person, based on the latest 107 reviews.

See how this restaurant’s value for money stacks up against similar spots in San Francisco.

Considering this is a higher-end Indian spot, wed say the pricing feels fair if the quality of the food, ambiance, and service truly deliver a premium experience. Its an investment, so we’d expect it to be worth every euro.

Exceptional Indian Dining Experience at Tiya
Our first visit to Tiya in late September was a prelude to a reception our son was hosting there later that week. We were prepared for an interesting experience of elevated Indian food, but what truly impressed us was the remarkable combination of ambiance, hospitality, and a well-coordinated team. These elements make Tiya a truly special place. We sampled a variety of dishes and desserts, alongside their signature cocktails, and found everything to be bursting with flavor, freshness, and the right touch of finesse. Special thanks go to Chef Pujan Sarkar, General Manager Roger Gomes, Mixologist and Lead Bartender Izler Thomas, and Sommelier Madison. If you're in San Francisco and seeking a great meal with a special ambiance, Tiya is an absolute must-visit! We will definitely be returning.

Decent Food, Terrible Bartender Service
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The food was pretty decent, but the meal was unfortunately ruined by the absolutely terrible service provided by the bartender, Izler, who was also my server. He was extremely unprofessional and very arrogant. His attention was entirely focused on inappropriate attention towards the lady next to me. I believe the owners need to set some rules, as I'm sure other servers feel the same way about him. While he may be good at his job, an arrogant demeanor is unacceptable when you are the server. He never once inquired about my food or if I needed anything. When I asked him a question, he dismissed me. He took my order while half-talking to the woman he was trying to court. I sincerely hope rules are put in place to address this.

Extraordinary Wedding Reception at Tiya
We recently hosted our wedding reception at Tiya, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very beginning, Chef Pujan Sarkar, GM Roger Gomes, Mixologist Izler Thomas, Sommelier Madison, and the entire Tiya team went above and beyond to create an evening our family and friends will never forget. Guests traveled from all over - New York, Denver, Singapore, LA, and across the Bay Area - and every single one left raving about the food, cocktails, and warm hospitality. Chef Pujan’s cooking has always been our benchmark for incredible Indian cuisine - thoughtful, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Having followed him since his Rooh days, we were thrilled to celebrate this milestone at Tiya, his new restaurant that perfectly blends Indian soul with California creativity. The attention to detail was unmatched: from the custom menu Chef Pujan prepared that catered to every palate to the inventive cocktails crafted by Izler and the impeccable service and planning from Roger and Madison. The entire night felt personal - a true “dil se” (from the heart) experience that made us and our guests feel like "ghar ke log" (part of the family). Tiya isn’t just one of our favorite restaurants in San Francisco - it’s one of those rare gems where every meal feels like a celebration, elevated by the kind of welcoming ambiance only a chef-owned restaurant can create. We’ll be back soon (and often), and we can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for world-class food, hospitality, and heart. If you're ever considering a full buyout of the restaurant for a special event and are looking for a reference, I'd be happy to serve as one. Chef Pujan and Roger know how to reach me and can connect you.

Exceptional Birthday Dinner at Tiya!
I celebrated my birthday at Tiya, and it was hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! From the moment we walked in, the energy and hospitality were incredible. We chose to sit at the bar, and honestly, that made the night. Izler, the bar manager, and his colleague Saurabh were beyond amazing. They not only made us the most phenomenal drinks (truly some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had!) but also took care of every detail to make my birthday dinner so special. The food was exceptional, beautifully presented, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. The small bites in particular stood out, each dish felt thoughtful and creative while still true to its Indian roots. Between the delicious food, the stellar drinks, and the incredible warmth from the team, Tiya is an absolute gem. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a night out with great vibes and even better cocktails, I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you, Izler and Saurabh, for making my birthday unforgettable!
