Awful Service and Loud Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was quite negative. The place has a bad reputation for date nights, and I can see why. The service was awful, and the atmosphere was so loud that you couldn't hear the person next to you talking. The food received a score of 1, indicating it was also not good.

Unique Cocktails and Great Experience
My experience at this restaurant was great, primarily for drinks. The buzz button cocktail was "soooo interesting" and provided a unique sensation. The citrus cinnamon mocktail was also "so on point".

Service Issues Mar an Otherwise Okay Experience
My experience at this restaurant was marked by significant service difficulties, despite it not being particularly busy. It seemed like staff members or their friends were monopolizing the attention of the bartenders, leading to clear frustration from customers trying to order or get their checks. We were seated near a group that received a lot of attention, including multiple shots, which further impacted our ability to get service during our single drink. The noise level was also very loud, making conversation difficult.

Rude Service Ruined a Special Occasion
I have been a patron of The Snug for two years. Unfortunately, my recent visit with a friend was marred by extremely rude treatment from a staff member named Maria. This experience was so negative that I will not return or recommend this establishment to anyone. It was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Upon arriving for a drink after dinner, Maria falsely claimed there was a private function and asked us to return in 20 minutes. This was untrue, as the venue was sparsely populated. Despite this, we decided to wait and went to Palmers, where we received lovely service. I wanted to return to The Snug for a favorite cocktail, the Prickly Pear, as I was flying internationally the next day due to my father's passing. When we returned, Maria again refused service, stating at 10 pm that the bar staff were too busy and the bar would close soon. This was also untrue; there were three bar staff and the place was not busy. I explained my situation, including my international travel due to a bereavement, and my desire for just one cocktail. Maria remained unyielding, showing no empathy or care, making us feel unwelcome. I left with the impression that her behavior was motivated by racism and ageism, suggesting that The Snug is unwelcoming to those who are not young and blonde with green eyes. In contrast, Palmers had a diverse clientele, and Maria seemed to be curating a specific type of customer for The Snug. Thankfully, we found another bar that warmly welcomed us for our final drink, salvaging the evening.

Great Vibe, Excellent Whiskey, Mediocre Food
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. I absolutely loved the drinks and the overall vibe, making it a great upscale neighborhood bar. The whiskey selection is truly excellent. However, the food from the Mexican restaurant was mediocre, which was the only downside to my visit.
