How are the prices at The Good Egg?

You’re looking at roughly 22 per person – reported by 88 diners. That puts it in the $21–$30 category. For a Restaurant, it’s comfortably mid-range: not a steal, but not bank-breaking either.

While the average is 22$, it’s interesting to see that many guests actually spend a bit less, often in the 11-20$ range. A few higher tabs pull that average up, showing a mix of spending habits rather than a tight cluster around the average.

Unprofessional Service, Long Wait Times
My experience at this restaurant was marked by a complete and shocking lack of professionalism and a disconnect from basic service expectations. It took an unbelievable 1 hour and 48 minutes to prepare two California omelettes, even though the dining room had open tables and no visible rush. To make matters worse, they were turning paying customers away. The staff's behavior was blatantly inappropriate; a waitress's boyfriend was seated immediately and they openly made out while customers waited. His food arrived within 30 minutes, after we had already been ignored for 45 minutes. This obvious favoritism was uncomfortable and completely unprofessional. The overall vibe was one of indifference, incompetence, and detachment from reality, as if no one understood or cared that this is a business meant to serve customers. We chose this place for its gluten-free options, and while the food itself was decent and not greasy, that does not justify nearly two hours for two omelettes. This establishment shows a total disconnect from what a restaurant is supposed to be: hospitality, efficiency, and respect for the customer. I would avoid this place unless you have a personal relationship with the staff.

Reliable Brunch Spot in Liberty Station
My experience at The Good Egg was that of a solid brunch destination. It's a reliable, friendly, and well-located spot, especially good for a relaxed morning or mid-day meal in Liberty Station with friends or family. The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated a perfect 5.

Horrible Service, Mediocre Food
My experience at this restaurant was unfortunately quite disappointing. The customer service was horrible. Our server was absent for most of our 45+ minute wait for food, only checking in once. When it came time to pay, the staff seemed to avoid us, talking amongst themselves for another 10 minutes before anyone assisted us. To top it off, the server didn't even offer a receipt. The food itself took an unreasonably long time, nearly an hour for two people ordering French toast and chorizo. When it finally arrived, the food was mediocre, and the fruit was not fresh as advertised on the menu. I will never be returning and do not recommend this place at all.

Disappointing Experience at The Good Egg
We decided to try The Good Egg because it was conveniently located near our hotel and had some positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience mirrored many of the negative feedback we had encountered. Our waitress was largely absent, checking on us only once throughout the entire meal, while frequently attending to tables around us. This lack of attention made us feel overlooked, and we wondered if our status as tourists played a role. We faced a significant wait of approximately 55 minutes for our food, with no updates or check-ins provided. When our meals finally arrived, they were a letdown. The pancakes with eggs were disappointing; the eggs were cold and unseasoned, and the pancakes, while hot, were dry and lacked flavor. The chicken and waffles were only lukewarm and also lacked taste, with a dry and hard waffle. I regret wasting my money here. The combination of poor communication, an extended wait, and underwhelming food resulted in a frustrating dining experience. Based on our visit, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Disappointing Benedict, Poor Service
My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict, but the entire meal lacked creativity. Beyond the salmon, it was missing elements that would have elevated it, such as capers, arugula, avocado, or tarragon, making it a plain Benedict. The wait times were also excessive; it took longer than it should have to be seated, for the waitress to take my order, and even to pay, despite the restaurant not being busy. The waitress was inattentive, never checking on me. When it came time to pay, the electronic payment device was presented abruptly, giving the impression of being rushed out the door. Due to these issues, I will not be returning.
