  • Exceptional coffee & drinks
  • Warm, welcoming service
  • Inviting atmosphere
What people don't like

If you prioritize a welcoming environment, excellent service, and well-prepared coffee and pastries, PorchLight Coffee is certainly worth considering. The high Recommendation Score of 8.7 suggests that most visitors would encourage others to try it, especially for a quality beverage and a pleasant atmosphere.

However, be mindful of the pricing, as it can be on the higher side, and if you plan to work for an extended period, the Wi-Fi limitations might be a factor. It’s a good spot for a focused visit or a casual meet-up, but perhaps less ideal for budget-conscious, long-term remote work sessions.

Great Food, Burnt Croissant
My experience at the restaurant was largely positive, with great food and coffee. I particularly enjoyed the vanilla latte, rating it 5/5. The bagel and cream cheese were also excellent, considered one of the better bagels in SD, though I wished for a spicy spread option. The ham and cheese croissant had good flavor and quality, but unfortunately, it was really burnt, leading to a 3/5 rating for that item.

Disappointing Matcha and High Prices
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I found it to be a place best left for tourists. I was charged $9. 70 for a small matcha latte made with regular milk and simple syrup, and this price didn't even include a tip. To my dismay, the matcha tasted overwhelmingly like milk, which was a letdown considering the price and the positive reviews I had seen. Additionally, the wifi had a time limit, which is inconvenient. It's no wonder they don't list prices on their menu.
