Good Food, Forgetful Service
This is a mom and pop place offering some good comfort foods. The Hot N Sour soup had very good flavor, and the dumplings were good. I enjoyed the great flavor of the Wasabi cold noodles and found the eggplants yummy, though they were a bit greasy. The Tan Tan noodles were also very good. However, the service was slow, possibly due to it being CNY eve. Our food took a while to come out. The lady at the counter did apologize and mentioned they were busy with too many to-go orders. We also ordered beers, which never arrived. We asked the waiter and the lady at the counter multiple times. They acknowledged our request but seemed to forget as soon as they walked away. It took about five friendly reminders before we finally got to enjoy our beers. The complimentary sesame dumplings desserts were surprisingly good.

Worth the Drive for Delicious Chinese Food
I recently discovered this restaurant after reading about it in a SF Gate article and have been back 4 times already. The service is great and the food is delicious! Even though we live nearly 50 miles away, the meal is always worth the drive. I particularly love the mushu and the crab & asparagus soup. While the restaurant's decor hasn't changed in 50 years, it remains my favorite Chinese restaurant, period.

Inexcusable Wait Times and Questionable Kitchen Practices
We visited last night, Saturday, July 13th, for dinner around 6: 45 pm. Having been here before, we knew the food was just okay. During our entire visit, only one other party was present, occupying a second table. Our primary complaint is the inexcusably long wait for our food. To make matters worse, the other party, who arrived after us, received some of their dishes before ours. There was no explanation or apology offered for the delay. On a previous visit, I witnessed the cook smoking a cigarette while stir-frying food, with ash poised to fall into the wok. We probably won't be back.
